I have been reading as much as I can about SD cards and am a bit confused.

I set up a phone on AR2.3 with a 32 GB SD (class 4) and formatted it with a 2 GB partition to which I applied SD Booster.  I ended up with a read speed of 36 gb/s which is good but the rest of the SD card went unused.

I want to use the biggest partition possible with a 32 GB SD and apply it to memory but I don't know how everything works together. Consider the following for AR3.2;  1. SD card read ahead at 4096  2. the kernal has L2SD built in.  3. SD Booster is adjustable and some people do not "boost" the entire partition.

I'm on AR2.3 and flashed FE16 and now I want to partition the SD card.  Do I just make the 1st partition 16 GB and set SD Booster to whatever value turns green?  But what is the rest of the card used for? Should I make it 30 GB?

I really like what the developers and others have accomplished, I just need some help to fully use what you have done.

Well, since I didn't get any replies I went ahead and tried it on my own.  I formatted it with CWM (FE16) to a 4GB partition and then tried to change the partition size with Partition Wizard.  That didn't work so I deleted all partitions. Well now my PC wont read the card, it "See's" it but will not read or write files. Neither will Partition Wizard, it just locks up. I did repartition it in the phone, twice.  So I guess 4 GB is the limit.  I ordered a smaller, faster card from Amazon and will start over w the 4gb partition.

So why is CWM limited to 4GB?  Yes another ?  ;D

Me too, I sort of asked you about this in another thread.  I didn't know I could fry a SD card though.

Deleting all partitions leaves the card with nothing to be read.  Create a partition and format it.
