The power button problem I had earlier fixed itself, but now it's stuck on airplane mode and everytime I disable it and turn on my wifi it doesn't work. I then go to settings and I find out that airplane mode is still checked. And everytime I turn on the wifi, everything starts crashing with Google Framework Services being the first one, and everything else crashes. Everytime I reboot, it's stuck on airplane mode. Even when I restored it to back in July, it's still stuck. I've cleared out my cache in the restore menu, and I've taken out the battery and the memory card.

Please help. My phone is useless. I can't text nor use my browser or use any apps because they all force close! :(

I just tried that. I factory reset everything, and re-rooted it, and installed everything. And when I reflashed my Area 3.0 Rom, it was back to how it was??? With the Airplane Mode on and everything....wtf.   .-.

Where do u factory reset from? When i rerom i factory reset,  wipe cash, n wipe dalvik, all 3 times, from cwm. Not in android, i have never had to re-root. Try that.
Try flashing the last working rom, boot see if it works, then reflash current rom like i said above and see if that works.
Try lookinking for an app like "wifi fxer and more" but thats for ur wifi antenna. Mine started not working, thats the only fix i found. But see if u can find one for cell antennas. I know theres one cor resseting ur connection to a better tower on the market. Also try "flash airplain mode" app

Oh, I went into Privacy and did it. Thing is...everything was the same when I booted back up. So what I did is I removed my memory card (everything is in my SD Card) and I did the same thing, and then while having it off, I did the Odin thing to revert it to Rooted Stock. Then from there (my phone, and text messaging and browsing and everything else was working fine) I did the Area Odin, and when it booted up, everything was fine, all that I needed to do was to install from zip. I reinstalled my Area Rom 3.0 and everything was the way it was.

I did the whole process again but with Area Rom 2.3.....SAME thing. The only difference was the looks. But my background, and everything else was still the same. It was still in Airplane Mode, and everything. I'm going to try CM7 and then go into 3.3 or something. I doubt that will work...

And even if I don't turn on the wifi, everything still crashes and I can't open anything. I can, when I reboot it, for a shortwhile, then everything loads, and it crashes.

Could it be that I have a virus? I have an app (Music Paradise) that always gives me ads on my status bar, and then randomly downloads apps. (I've had this app for months now)

The only reason I use Area Rom's is because of the external storage :P

i would think that reflashing would overwrite any viruses.
You should get rid of that app
then use a program called ccleaner on your card from the pc. it will go through all the empty space on ur card.
i know on HDD's it will even hit the spare space in a sector. it will do 1-35 overwrites. I would recomend 2 on a micro sd card.
that will delete ANY virus on your card.
after that for your phone, you can mount the system in lynux and do the same thing just bear in mind you will haft to reflash everything.
DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, mount your recovery section and do this

I do not belive you have a virus tho. if your working on a stock rooted rom, honestly, just go back to that and run for a while.

I am assuming you followed the directions exactly, ohh wate did you flash the new antenna fe16? i did that i have no problems.

IT IS REQUIRED FOR AREA ROM 3.2 and 3.3 You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login do this anyways. it works good on arearom 32.,3.3,3.0,and cm7.1

I've tried getting rid of that app and others. But everytime I reboot, it comes back. I tried installing Cynogen 7.1 last night, but when I put it in my SD Card and went into recovery, it wasn't even there...

And I don't want to risk that cleaning stuff :b and of course I followed the directions exactly. Also what Antenna thing are you talking about? But I'll try installing it. If it even let's me -_- could it be something in my SD Card? Because everytime I reboot, or reflash, it goes back to exactly how it was..

after you reformat your sd card, create a folder called "Ringtones" "Notifications" and there is your folders.
create a file called ".nomedia" and put that in any folder thats not wallpapers, music, notifications, or ringtones. the phone will skip these folders on media scaning on boot.

-I am hoping you are not trying to save data from ur sd card-

after that redownload fe16 antena install, and arearom 3.3 or cm7.1 your prefrence, boot into download mode and install the rom. reboot. wate for it to install n load comploeatly. then boot back into recovery, install the fe16 antenna from cwm. and then reboot again n see if your workin

Okay I kind of get you, but the part where you lost me is creating a file called ".nomedia"? How would I create that file? Would it be a text document or what? And I put that "file" in every folder that's like...lets say games, or apps and stuff?

and can I save my stuff from my SD card? or I back it up from an app if I can?

Download that.nomedia file. Its a blank filename with nomedia as the file extension so thay its the first file in alphabetical order in the folder. Ur sys sees that n moves on.

Okay this is messed up. I did what you said. I formated the SD Card, and then when I rebooted...EVERYTHING was back. All the folders...everything. I tried going to Rooted Stock Rom, did the same thing...and every folder was still there!!! This is ridiculous!

There are 2 format SD's one is /SD-ext and the other is just /SDcard in CWM. You need to format the /SDcard not the /SD-ext. Or as you stated your files and folders will still be there. And if for some odd reason they don't go away this time try doing it in your PC. (with a card reader if you have one)

I ment for u to format on a pc anyways then format sdcard on phone. That way i know it deletes the file allocation table. Do not do a quick format. Do a full overwrite. Use ccleaner. It dose full overwrite three diffreny ways 1-35 times. I recomend 1

Yeah I did it though the computer though. I didn't know that I could do it though the CWM. I did a full overwrite, and I still had the folders.

And so I would have to re partition my SD Card? Meaning I'd have to go into CWM and set it to 4GB of internal storage?

    ok new plan,

download ccleaner - do an overwrite that fills every bit with a zero, then reformat
do that by going to settings n ccleaner and do a drive wipe.

now put it into ur phone, boot into clockwork mod only using three finger boot. and format the sd card in there using the non ext option.

now go back to the computer and put the rom and the fe16 on the card and put the phone back into cwm and install the rom, then boot, then fe16, then boot, then go back to cwm and partition ur card, then boot, then go back to cwm and reflash the rom again, reboot. everything should be working at this point

you will normaly have some android system files on ur card like .android ect.

past that if that dosent work, honestley, install the stock nonrooted rom and call straighttalk and warrenty your phone if you are having this much trouble

after either option, install nq security on your device. or sophos, or avg, or lockout (i put in order of goodness)

if u need ccleaner, find a torrent i wont provide a link on here for that or a shareware version would be nice if it has full capability for limited time.

Ok, I will try that as I already have CC Cleaner :) and by the way, I already called Straight Talk and they're sending me a box to send my phone in. Should I just leave it how it is? Rooted and stuff so they can see the mistake? (Though they probably won't send me a replacement because it was 'my' fault) or should I do as you say and install the non rooted version and just send it like that? (But then they'll see that nothing is wrong with it and send it back?)

i heard a guy say he sent in a rooted phone n got a new one back but i wouldent  trust that. i would put ur original rom and original recovery back and remove the root exploit.
dig on how to do this, i never have done it but i know it can be done.
most likley they will either flash your phone compleatyly and send it back to u totaly formated, or just send a new phone.
if it was me id send a new phone out and send yours down the referb line to resell it. but I would send u a refurb as well.
more than likley u will get a diffrent phone, copy ur esn to check against the one u get back to see if they did switch it (both the sticker and the one in they system).
I would try the software fix i posted first, however its up to u, your phone

Hm so your saying I should put Area Rom 3.0 but just remove the root somehow?

and well they told me they were going to send me a new phone :o

I would do that, but I need to send my phone back before they send me a new one.

And what's this esn you speak of?

    NO

FLASH STOCK ROM AND STOCK RECOVERY AND REMOVE ROOT

ESN Is under settings, its your phones id number to the carrier, so it knows which phone to send your data and voice to ect. kinda like a fingerprint.

have your tried all the fixes I posted?

    Got it ;)

and I was looking for ESN under About Phone, and I didn't find any "ESN" :/

and yes I tried the last fix you told me about, I used CC Cleaner, went into Clockwork Mod, formated the SD Card, then I tried to partition again but it didn't let me? Then I went back to my phone, connected it to the computer and checked my SD Card, and I had all the folders again? I then just tried to install the fe16 boot, but nothing changed, and the rom was still on 3.0. -.- My phone is officially messed up.
