root methods from this forum are compile from the source, since you dont have to flash a prerooted kerneland reflash with the stock laters, like DH saids if u root the shabby P. method your kernel its half baked   :o

and for the superuser asks permissions try using superSU from play store and see if it helps  :)

can you type the url for that particular app called "freedom"??

Okay I decided I wanted a clean restore before I tried superSU (I should learn to stop restoring, it does not fix my problems, it makes them worse). After the restore I had no root privileges so I flashed the kernel again, still no root. SuperSU is installed, should I try to go back to the original superuser? Also when I go in the superSU app it tells me update my binary, but fails. And now whenever I connect my phone to my laptop it starts charging, but does offer computer connection option. I also noticed after rooting and installing CWM there are a bunch of new files in the sdcard, ones like disk cache index with a bunch of numbers after it, and then there are some really weird files with characters I have never seen before. I am just digging my grave deeper.
Oh, and freedom is not on the playstore (if thats what you meant by URL), I will never use that app again, the app has different hacks for apps and the playstore, but I never got a chance to play around with it. I do not think freedom is the problem anymore.

i will be uploading a factory stock LI02 nandroid (unrooted) this afternoon i will post it in here when its uploaded, you will have to unzip it, and copy the clockworkmod folder and its contents to your SDCARD then boot into CWM and goto backup and restore and restore the nandroid, once that is done i will have posted a NEW LI02 Unlocked and Rooted Source Compiled Kernel that should fix your problems. until then please don't do anything else to your phone as you may inadvertently BRICK it then there will be NO Recovering it...

    Thanks

alrite on ur superuser app where it saids su binary v3.1.1 box is it all green or some are red with green letters??

and for the computer connection issue....is fixed by doing this. first make sure u use root explorer or other apps for root purposes then go to /system/ect and scroll down til u see a file named "vold.fstab" long press it and tap on open with then tap on text editor then scroll down down til u see # external sdcard and try to find usb_storage/lun1/file
change lun1 to lun0 then tap on save and exit as u exit it will make a backup itself and try it out

and for the bunch of new files thats normal dont delete them unless you know wat they are

I have not tried your method yet. I think I am going to wait for the stock nandroid backup and just copy the files over using wifi file transfer, and if that does not work I will try it your way. That is my same problem except with 3G, no matter how many times I click it it does not cut on, even though it is highlighted like it is on.

Questions completely off topic, but I was going to get V.I.P and I noticed that it now says 40 $ for a year, which I can not afford, so does this mean you do not offer the 10 $ vip anymore? If there still is a way to donate the 10 $ please tell me how. Thanks.

We decided to shuffle the VIP setup a little bit (I wasn't let in on the reasoning), but you'll have to talk to the big wigs (DH, PureEvil).

Ok yours saids mobile network not available wen calling? Cuz if it does same here I think it has to do with a radio module I'm not sure..

Well about the computer connection u can fix it and u can now copy files between ur computer and phone it will not mess with any thing that interferes with the root or 3g.

By the way probably u can not unmount your sdcard neither

I D/L'd the Nandroid you put up and restored it on my Proclaim, but when i try to do cmw it still gets stuck booting back into cmw.  I will try it a few more times, but if it doesnt work I am very gracious for being able to restore the stock image.  I was having gapps force closes and a few more problems.  Just to make sure I'll tell you the steps I am taking.  Phone in B/L flash mode.  USB debugging checked, open Odin flash cwm and after it completely reboots?  I pull the battery, then hold the middle of the volume rocker and put it back in ( this has never been able to boot me into cwm, I have to adb reboot recovery).

You can't let it boot all the way up as the STOCK has a recovery rewriter in it that wipes out custom recovery and replaces it with stock you have to pull the battery before it boots at all, and use the buttons to get into cwm press hard enough in the middle to hear a solid click you will also feel it then hold power till it says samsung RELEASE ONLY THE power button until you get into CWM

Yessir it will. The bootloader doesn't differentiate between the Illusion and Proclaim.

OK I do not completely understand this. I am able to get past the endless CWM loop by reflashing stock recovery and then CWM recovery again. However whenever I try to launch recovery mode from Rom Manager all it does is throw my phone into an endless CWM loop. The only way to fix this is to reflash stock recovery again.

Am I not supposed to launch Rom Manager or recovery mode? Am I supposed to wait for a custom rom first or is there one already? This is extremely confusing and all I want is for my phone to work properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also why is this thread (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login***-all-things-root-***-150/at-long-last!-cwm-viper!-%28proclaimillusion%29/) locked? I was getting all my CWM for proclaim news from there until I found this page.

Don't use app triggers. So far, the best way tondo it is the manual way.

If I am understanding you correctly you are saying to enter recovery mode via Power+Vol up+vol down and not through Rom Manager or any app.

Doing the Power+Vol up+vol down method works perfectly and phone is perfectly functional.

Are there any custom roms or kernels for this phone yet? I see mention of AK51 proclaim but I can't find any DL links.

AK51 was causing problems with the MEID on LI02 firmware'd devices, so I believe we pulled it. If you had an Illusion or an FB07 device, you were fine.
