Just restored [NANDROID] Proclaim Return to Stock, NO ROOT!. Tried to flash [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod Viper v6.0.2.8. Did not install, "Recovery" verification Error" on phone. Odin showed no errors. Can't get CWM to load. Stock recovery still coming up.  Any Tips?????

    SOLVED
Followed instructions You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Installed You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Restored my CWM of Arearom 1.1

    Life is good!!! 8)

    UPDATE AFTER SOLVED
My original problem was caused by not removing the battery when ODIN rebooted phone after CWM install.
    It pays to follow instructions.

Somebody please help me! I have had kernel version 2.6.35.7-1193552 droidhost@AreaRom-Main #1 installed on my phone for over a month now using the root methods here.

Don't ask how but somehow my phone got stuck on an endless recovery loop while it was in my pocket.

I reflashed stock proclaim recovery with no problems. However now when I reflash CWM Viper I get a yellow triangle @ Samsung screen. The triangle goes away whenever I reflash stock recovery but comes back whenever I try to reinstall CWM Viper.

I really don't want to have to erase my phone and start from scratch...what a pain!

I have Samsung Galaxy Proclaim SCH-S720C.LI02

U need to install a  kernel after cwm. Try flashin the unsecured 3g boost tweak kernel via odin and it'll fix the yellow triangle thing..

This does not work. I already have this kernel installed. If I try to reinstall it with CWM I still get triangle. Proclaim-meidfix.zip does not install at all via Odin, it just says (succeed 0 / failed 1).

That's a zip...that has to be flashed on cwm

First install cwm via odin laters the kernel via cwm

If it doesn't wrk try installing stock kernel via odin

The yellow triangle only means your flash counter has increased, it doesn't effect performance in anyway! If you don't want the triangle or need to return your device you can return stock with the return to stock no root guide.

Try to stop using "reboot to recovery" commands to avoid that bug!

    I have a quick question...

Is it possible in CWM Recovery tto modify the size of the partitions without having to reformat and reinstall everything?

Or lets say I make a Nandroid backup and then modify the partition sizes. Could I restore all my stuff and it maintain the new partitions or will it even recover on new partition sizes?

Also, probably more important, can I make a partion larger to increase virtual/system memory/RAM? My phone works great but sometimes could use a bit of a boost and I was just curious. If so, which partition should he larger?

This worked great. Thanks Motorhead. Hoping you might be willing to explain the basics of how you created the bin.md5 file. I'd like to look at see how it works and play with it so I can learn a little about recovery creation. I've been trying to figure out how to mount the recovery.bin.md5 file but I can't seem to figure it out. Would you be willing to offer that information?

no offense but this is too wicked complicated for your average joe.

i rooted 2 phones so far and all them were pretty much, install drivers to pc run cwm, rooted.

this here is like drop your phone out the window while holding your junk and trying to sing the alphabet backwards and when your done no more sd card.

somewhere on here is some Odin files to root but you're better off to install a ROM which fixes some issues

When I attempt to install via ODIN, it's resetting as it should, but it's going back to the stock recovery. I've tried twice now, and I'm still having an issue. What gives?

follow the directions to the T. You have to pull the battery before it boots and then boot into recovery after you put the battery back in.
