Thanks to Jcase for Root. He rooted my wife's phone a few weeks ago & with his permission I'm posting the how to here.

This is the commands used in the Arearom OneClick. Everything is done for you.
You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Before doing so, MAKE SURE the proper drivers are installed. If it still doesn't work properly, reboot your computer.

    Quote from: jcase

Silly permission bug again, but w/e. LG should know better, from what I am told this is a recently released device. This is a long standing known issue. Lg get your sh*t together.

    Directions:
unzip su.zip into the current path (directory) you are in.

    adb shell

    (while in adb shell)
    rm /data/local/tmp/profile_calib_m

    ln -s /data/local.prop /data/local/tmp/profile_calib_m

    exit

    adb reboot

    adb wait-for-device shell

(once in the adb shell again)

    echo 'ro.kernel.qemu=1' > /data/local.prop

    rm /data/local/tmp/profile_calib_m

    exit

    adb reboot

    adb wait-for-device remount

    adb push su /system/xbin/su

    adb shell chown 0.0 /system/xbin/su

    adb shell chmod 6755 /system/xbin/su

    adb shell rm /data/local.prop

    adb reboot

Once rebooted install superuser from the market:

    By using the above you
agree to everything below even tho
you didn't bother to read it. This
has been tested & confirmed to
work. I/we are not reasonable if
    you break your phone.

    Hey there,

I am new to the world of android, but from what I have read, it seems that it would be a great idea to root my phone. My problem is, I know next to NOTHING about how to do it, even reading the post here for my specific phone (Straight Talk LG  Optimus Logic) I get the impression that I need to dowlnoad some programs or utilities to my PC, and that a USB cable would be handy, but beyond that I am afraid I am clueless. If some one could be kind enough to explain to me, in Newbie, how to accomplish this, I would be eternally grateful.

    Thanks
    Bryan

OneClick is extremely friendly. However, this post is almost useless as far as my phone was concerned. I tried this method time and time again on my own. It failed each time. The one click method was only effective for me at installing the clock work mod for recovery. This opens up many doors. I am unsure why it did not root my phone. If anyone else experienced this with a NET10 lgl35g then please post your results. I love my phone now, but Ii hated it with a passion my first attempt at rooting.

OneClick uses this to root. I bet you pushed the SU folder instead of the file. If so it has to be removed before you can root again. With CWM tho you can just restore the rooted Nandroid.

All you need is the right files :) Are you on straight talk or net10? Does that even matter or is it all involved with the SIM card?

Phones are exactly the same. SIM cards may even be the same. The Net10 phone I'm using has never been registered. I just popped the SIM form my wife's Nokia in it & was done.

    Noob(ish) here.
We were given a new L35G for my 16yr old who is starting college..
I downloaded and installed the USB drivers for the phone successfully.
I download and used the "ONE CLICK" numerous times.
I never get the "Congrats" screen

At the end of the install process there was a "failed and something about a 'directory" I think.
    It went by very quickly.
No idea how to 'log' or record it so it can be read after the fact.

Tried on 2 diff computers. Had USB straight into Mobo's.
Rebooted both after USB drivers installed.

Everything seems to work exactly right until it has rebooted numerous times and it ends.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Thanks very much.

Root dose not equate carrier unlocked.

    Who makes the phone?

You can for example have a tmobile phone. Never root it. Get the unlock code from tmobile as long as its not under contract n a bad imei and put an at&t sim in it and run that without root.

You can also use a net10 tmobile sim without unlocking it at all in this example.

Rooting just allowes super user access to overclock, underclock, and all other kinds of fun system stuff like backups, boot animations, ect.

Hope this helps. Post the carrier of the phone and perhaps I can be of further assistance

    thnx

    Simlocked
They wont unlock it to accept other sims

However lyca is a tmobile mvno
So it seems your net10 phone is locked to the att obe maybe cuz I have heard that u can take a locked att phone n put an att net 10 sim in it.

If anyone else has other suggestions?

I would suggest you try to find an unlocked phone

    Or

    Use net10

    As for the root.

I havent ever messed with this device, I assume you went over the directions again

Dose it show inital connection to device?

He is right. Your not going to unlock this phone.  It isn't SIM locked but the framework will only allow it to work with a Straighttalk SIM.
