Alright, gonna try it again. I think I know what I did wrong.
My only other question is when it asks for alittle input is it going to be some thing simple or is it going to be some sort of command line? If a command line, what do I put in? I don't know computer language.

For those that just want root, I modified DroidHosts batch file to do just that. Posting now.

The file has to be downloaded to the PC & unziped. It has to be ran from the PC.

That is a bad idea with this phone. There is no other way to get a recovery on this phone that I know of. I think ROM Manger would brick it. This phone only has a factory reset.

I agree but for most it will be to late. I guess I don't understand the gain to take the risk.

Hey hillsdale, if all you are trying to do is root the phone look in all things root under dynamic and you should see where it gives you links for two downloads. One is giantpunes noob tool and ministro ll. If you download them they will have you rooted in about 5 min. Bam, that easy. THANKS TO GIANTPUNE.

yup you will be rooted, then you can go and mess up the phone before you use the one click to put cwm on and when not have a way to fix it...

This is true. I should have put that warning in there. I appologize. Its how I rooted my phone and removed 13 unwanted apps.
About the recovery I'm still trying to get access to a pc to install it. Question, since i rooted with the noob tool will the complete set up mentioned above have a poor effect?

you shouldn't have any issues using the one click if you can get access to pc, I will say this DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER there is a CWM on there for the L3 that works with the Logic, but the Dynamic uses a Different Kernel and Modules, thats the only difference actually between the logic and dynamic... we were able to redo the cwm from the logic with the dynamics kernel and modules and was able to bring the CWM to full working...

    Warning heard and logged.
Why dont the guys on rooted shoutbox support toolkits?
I asked them the same question about poor results and was told they don't support toolkits but said they would point me in the right direction to learn what I need to not have to use them. It kind of sounded like there is something wrong with them or with using them.
I don't know computers so could you please clarify for me.
Sorry if its a stupid question.

That is the same thing I keep saying. I can't understand why anyone wants to start playing with the root without a recovery. Just seems like ab risk with no gain.

Do you know what apps are safe to get rid of? Would like to do this tonight,so I did the one click now I could use a list of safe bloat to remove. Anyone?

Hey guys just wanted to chime in and say this root worked perfectly on my phone.  i would also like to ask a quick question. in my pulldown menu (i have the straight talk version) there is what i would call a widget to control to music within the default music app. i was wondering if there is any way to either relplace the current widget or make it somehow control one of my other music players?

Ok. So I tried to install this last night and here is what I saw:
    Rooting device.......
    Specified path not found
    Specified path not found

    Device found....Good

Flashed thru a lot of command lines really fast and then I got the thanks screen.
Nothing happened on the phone side.
    Any suggestions?

EDIT: I just installed this on my friend's Dynamic and it worked perfectly, good job and thx for sharing it with people... :)

    Hello,

I am looking at getting an lg optimus dynamic at the end of may when my contract with verizon runs out.  I searched the forums but I did not find precisely what I was looking for.  Just have a couple quick questions and I do apologize if they have been posted elsewhere:

From what I understand the dynamic has very little memory installed, I was reading about an app called links2sd and was wondering if that app works with the dynamic?

I know straight talk isn't fond of tethering but once the device was rooted, I would like the option to tether for very light data use.  What tethering program works best?

I know it states max 32gb sd card; I have a 64gb sdxc that I would like to use and wondered if anybody has tried one?

    Thanks in advance
