Actually that's not true. I used Odin 3 v3.07 and it worked just fine. I only have two versions of Odin and the other is v1.7 which I never use anymore.

Ok, let me rephrase. No one's ever used newer and said anything :P. Glad to know it works though.

Well I would not suggest doing it any other way than how the instructions say to do it because that is a known working and safe method when done properly... but there are options you could try at your own risk... you could try mobile ODIN and that would have probably about the same brick possibility (rather high) as recovery flasher since I can guarantee the centura isn't supported...

As far as getting the custom recovery.img from the odin tar.md5 file you can extract it out with 7zip on a pc and possibly an archive manager on your phone... I personally haven't tried extracting odin files with my phone so I'm not sure about that one.

Whatever you try be sure to let us know how you make out with it as it may help another user in the future.

You can't hit a friend/family up for a pc or take ya cable to maybe a library and knock it out? Like I said.. I had used the poot apk to root and that was before I found this wonderful site ;D and I didn't unroot I just installed everything from here and everything worked out. I would try and be patient though.. you  wanna do it right.

Dont know why you had to use poot but ok...did you install CWM (recovery). and make sure the drivers are installed for it.

all you had to do was install CWM first then the rom and you would of been all set. The rom already has root....The post for root was made long before the rom was..... I found out that if you place your phone in the DL mod first then plug it in to your pc windows will find the drivers you need and install them. Make sure you have debugging on first. if you have any other problems get a hold of me either in arearom chat or pm me will be more than happy to help you out....
