    Got the modem patch uploaded. The link is at the bottom of the original post. If google drive opens the zip then go to file and then click download.

    Just flashed it on my centura with AreaRom v.1+1.2G kernel.  It works beautifully.  THANKS!
    Same here.  New life for my old phone!  Thanks!

    Cool cool, Flashed it last night all is well. Kind of a flash first ask questions later kinda guy. lol. I appreciate it. I've noticed alot of people saying they've had problems with AreaRom V1.3....... I've flashed every version of arearom on my device and V1.3 is the smoothest. I just recently installed the Rom and OC kernal from AreaRom V1.3 genera post and the centura modem patch MJ1. I installed the rom, then kernal, then modem patch all good....... Oh yeah..... then ran blue box security scanner...... said I wasnt patched so I downloaded and ran centura masterkey fix. after install ran root fix and my centura is faster and more stable than it has every been thanks to all the great developers....... AA51 F**king ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    These are stock roms...screenshot was taken after I applied some theme stuff. If you install this you can delete the line in /system/build.prop that looks like this:
    ro.cdma.otaspnumschema=SELC,3,00,07,80,87,88,99

    And you should be good to go  :-)

    Here is the rooted stock deodexed zipaligned rom with mj1 update. Comes with stock kernel, so if you want the area rom one then flash it after flashing this. Also comes with the modem updates like above rom does. Your phone will take a long time to boot the first time since it is deodexed so this is normal.

    Let's just say that after a LOT of testing and research that I personally don't believe in overclocking for this phone... I've had better results with stock...

    hey daishi4u Now if only you can help me get my phone to play streaming and even sd card video withought lagging or skipping :)

    The wifi interval set to about 900 does keep my players from outright stoping "cause wifi interrupts to scan again"

    Its sad i had an OLD mofo palm zire 1 that could play a 350 mb tv episode in avi no issues that thing was like 100 or 300 mhz about max... and no ram to boot but it played them well

    this 800mhz phone skipps even with sd play man go technology taking small steps forward everyday yet giant leaps backward

    First of all, what class SD card are you using? You can tweak the read speed of the card and that might help you out.. Let me look a script over that I have and I'll get back to you...

    Edit:
    Ok, you'll need a kernel with init.d support to do this...

    If you create a file in the /system/etc/init.d folder and name it whatever you like then open it up and paste this in:

    #!/system/bin/sh

    # external read speed
    echo 2048 > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:32/read_ahead_kb;

    Try it out if you like and let me know if it works out for you
