Error 131 errors. Username and password failure data service

    Fresh install on a new Precedent.
    Had the google auth error. Fixed.
    Still Im unable to get on the internet off the wireless. Wifi works. Im able to make calls.  I never see any 3G icons. I am in a 3G network. 3G is checked in the settings by default. Performed several factory resent through CWM. Google apps working. Market working.

    "Error 131 Sign in failed. Your data service username and password may be incorrect."

    Any ideas?
    Any who has the original Precedent ISO to restore back to factory ROM? I found it in another area.

    I did v2.0.
    Going back to stock did not fix the problem.
    Now back running area v2 and same same.
    Its otherwise working fine.
    Tried settings, about, update, profile update and the profile update errors out "unable to update blah blah blah"
    Ill try customer no service tomorrow and see what they can come up with.
    Ill report back.

    sounds like a phone defect, i would take it back to wally world, unless its in a box in pieces they usually will just swap anything out, i have taken a vacuum there that was FULL of slime... kid tore a diaper apart, my gf tried to suck it all up in the vacuum and broke it, so i took it back and told them exactly what happened, they swapped it right out.... but along another note i wouldn't tell them that you changed the fw as it probably voids any warranty you had, just tell them it did the normal update that all of the phones do from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3, then shortly after the 3g stopped functioning, then again if you were using wifi tether they may have blocked it completely or they may have shifted 3g service from your area, as their service area is ever evolving. i would call st and let them know your having a problem with it, they will prolly tell you to take it back also.

    If you call customer service... remember not to tell them you're rotted or running a custom rom. I know it's obvious but some people actually tell them and they won't do anything since your warantee is now void
