Don't quote me on this, but I believe my SD card's EXT partition is unmounting or getting some sort of error and closing down. This become a big problem when it's is merged with Internal storage, and causes messaging and various other app failures. Any advice? It was originally Ext2 for Link2SD but is now ext3 from CWM Factory reset format.

Same here. It happened to my entire card though. sdext and sd partitions. The sdext is completely inaccessible, and the sdcard partition keeps setting itself to reaf only. I have to manually change it to read-write in a terminal. Didn't have the problem with 3.2. I had to revert back to 3.2 due to another issue I aas having which was my home button soft key wouldn't work. I did manage to pull the boot amimation from 3.4 and inatalled it in 3.2 though because it's freakin awesome 8)

Sorry about the double post but Tapatalk won't let me edit >:( . After I installed 3.4, I was bombarded with app crashes one right after another. Also, I can't even boot with the card installed. It gsts to the kernel picture and goes no further. I can insert the card during the boot animation and everythings fine though

    try this

    boot into cwm
    backup card
mount usb storage under mounts and usb

now get partition wizard or some free lookalike [google]

now wipe your card, delete all partitions. reformat the whole thing to fat32 [or format sd card in cwm]

now repartition like u had it

    restore card

    reflash rom after wipes

I also suddenly had my sdext disappear as well as all of my non-stock apps and music files. It showed as being completely empty in windows and on the phone. I tried to delete, reformat, repartition, and reinstall but it wont recognize the partition.

I guess I'll try the espier mod.

Yeah, I had just bought a PNY 32GB class 10, had issues with one, exchanged it and then the second did this. I could get it to format in fat 32 and be seen but the ext3 just wouldn't be recognized. It would show the capacity being minus the size of my ext partition though. So I went back to the stock 2GB and it was still working fine. Time to try a different brand I suppose.

So windows dosent normaly see ext3
Your phone will show your ext3 as internal space.

Just making sure you know this.

I used sandisk 16gb with no problem.
I always use sandisk. Good life, high compatability.

    Try them

Or try samsung [alot of samsung class 10 write at 6mbps givin reviews] so check it and exchange as need be.

Well, it's actually not a dismount problem. My phone just fails to see my SD for a couple reboots, then after it finally sees it, the data on the SD and phone clash because the internal storage that was there previously (The SD card really) suddenly vanishes and all data has to be re-written. Now you have clashing data and the phone doesn't know which to use, causing chaos to ensue.

EDIT: Also, I just bought a new one because of a messed up re-format, causing the SD card to start giving Semaphore timeout errors.

It's the same model, though I asked for a Samsung instead.
