I was ready to cry with you!

You are wrong however. I - and I am sure I am not alone - do realize the amount of work it must involve. And we greatly appreciate all your work. I even worry it is not jeopardizing your real job and /or relationships.
One thing is for sure : we really appreciate all your good work. Couldn't do any of it without you. Thank you.

So true j. You have saved me money I would have already bought the black if not for you and the roms. I was just about to give this phone to my son (he's 11) but you and the rest have give the Q new life and I'm not going to the black till you do atleast. Anyway thanks. By the way I also have an extra L55C Q test phone. I test a lot of other stuff(other roms and kernals etc. I'm used to testing and if you need another tester id be glad. As a matter of fact my friend is working on a custom kernal and rom and I've been runnig it on the test phone for weeks now and I will send you a copy as soon as its complete. I tried to get him to join but he wants to do it all on his own? Anyway ill tell you he has my test Q running at 1.2Ghz it gets a little hot but he's tapping on something great.( I think he should be happy with 1Ghz it don't over heat there.) Anyway let me know id be honored to test for you. I'm tring to learn all I can and you can help a lot. Without even trying.pm me and we can talk more.

      it wasn't me!
been using 1.4 since its release.  I really am enjoying it!
but I am still having stability issues.  I can't make it through one battery charge without a reboot.
after an hour or so  of use (nothing extreme.. some web browsing.. maybe play a couple of games) everything starts seriously dragging.
like tonight.. I fired up opera mini to check in here.  played some fruit ninja.. then on to angry birds rio... was actually going to quit playing... when I tried to exit the game everything started dragging real bad.. I tried to reboot... holding down the power button... it wouldn't even respond.  usually at this point I will have to pull the battery, but this time the phone up and rebooted itself!
anyway I still love the ROM just thought I would pass on my experience with it.

At 1.2ghz you're oc'ing the processor a full 100% over what it was rated at out the factory... that's too much for the a6.

As to stability issues... to the dude above. Maybe just reboot your phone after a few hours? It takes 52 seconds on average.

I told him that. The phone shuts off after like 5 min. Cause it gets too hot.

I have the same identical problem and I think it has to do with the limited memory on the Q. As you say it gets so slow you can't even get out of what you are doing to fix things. In my case it usually resolves itself when Go Launcher crashes followed by Google play crashing. Then the Go taskmanager shows memory usage is down and things go back to normal. The phone's memory is just inadequate and android does not manage it as well as it should. Wish there was a way to add memory or flush things out of memory before it freezes. That would be a great app!

I bundled android assistant with arq v1.5. Set it to quickboost once an hour. And I doubt ur memory will do this.

When you say "I doubt your memory will do this" do you mean it is not a memory problem - or do you mean doing this will solve the problem?
Maybe it is a bug in Go Launcher EX that I use.

I just discovered that in my Go Launcher settings I had "prevent force closes when running out of memory". Maybe that's the problem. I unelected it and will see if that fixes things.

I think the above will solve it.

Its odd to me you two have these issues. I honestly think its some unstable app. I've still yet to see it happen.

Well, as I make the final changes to AreaRomQ v1.5 and touch up some things. I'd like to let you all know that I'm planning VIP release on Monday or Tuesday. I'm also accepting a new Beta Tester if anyone is interested. Please message me on chat or complete the Survery available in General I believe. I could really use someone whos comfortable in the Settings of Android. Please message me either on the IRC client or send me a message on here. There's only one open position but it is open. Thank you :).

I'm currently in the process of making some minor changes to the rom itself. (Mainly theme stuff). Thank you all for being so patient.

I have the same issue as the previous posts.  I noticed a extreme slowdown to a drag after a moment of browsing the web.  At first I thought it was the Dolphin Browser HD, but uninstalled and used the android browser does the same thing.  Some of my apps that uses the web will also emit a similar behavior.

The slowdown gets so bad to will Go Launcher EX, Dolphin browser HD, Go Locker or any running app that I am trying to use will popup with an option to force close.  Then it gets to the point where getting back up from idle (black screen) is a difficult task.  When the phone had enough it would reboot itself.

I even uninstalled the cpu app thing that came with it but no difference.  I am thinking it might be a wifi issue, although I never experienced it happening before the 1.4 rom (1.0-1.3 seems fine).  Sometimes the rom will slow a bit when enabling and disabling wifi.  I disabled the wifi and just used 3G and it seem to alleviate the problem somewhat.  Will report any results later.

To me it sounds like the issues are related to go launcher ex. The reason gos not used in cm7 nor many custom roms is because it is a memory hog. As far as wifi issues the qs been notorious for having wifi issues. I want to make it clear that the data rates are only set higher not lower by arq.

Also alternative browsers can be an issue. They're buggy from phone to phone. I cannot correct the apks nor support an apk that's not part of the rom.

OK. I am using Go Launcher EX. If all the others having memory problems are all also using it then that may well be the culprit. Is anyone having problems AND not using Go?

I use go everything and I had no issues with v1.3 and I even use set cpu and have it on conser. With the min set at 196mghz and I get great battery life and a fast phone. When I went to 1.4 I had some lag issues along with a few others causing me to switch back. I'm waiting on v1.5 hoping it solves the problem. I love the area rom. Thanks for all your hard work guys

Yah, it would be interesting for other inputs from people not using GO. Like yellow92bird, I had everything when using previous versions but without problems.  I hope 1.5 may solve some issues.

These comments are very interesting because I too do not really recall having these slow downs with 1.3. I believe they may have only started after I installed 1.4 - but I am not sure.

If it is indeed the combination of Go Launcher and 1.4 that is causing the slow downs and freezes maybe something jcole20 changed from 1.3 to 1.4 might be what broke things at least for some of us.

I would not be adverse to returning to 1.3 (hope it is still available....) if the same problems continue in 1.5 or maybe moving from Go to ADW since that is what jcole20 is using in 1.4 with no problems.

Of course, as jcole20 suggested, maybe it is some other misbehaving app we all have installed but that jcole does not have installed on his.
