Took me awhile to finish it but here it is. Hope someone enjoys it

Here's how to change your boot animation

    What you'll need
    1) A rooted phone
    2) A rom that allows bootanimation.zip (I'm on AreaROM 2.3. You're mileage may vary if you're using the stock rom)
    3) A file browser that allows changing system files (I use Root Explorer)
    4) A boot animation you want to use

    Instructables
    1) Save the bootanimation.zip you want to use on your SDcard. Anywhere on the card if fine but saving it to the root of the card makes it easier to find)
    2) Long press on the newly saved bootanimation.zip and select copy
    3) Navigate back to the phone root and navigate to system/media. You should see the bootanimation.zip that's currently installed
    4) Press the 'Mount R/W' button
    5) You can overwrite your current boot animation by pressing the paste button
    or
5b) Long press on bootanimation.zip and rename it (bootanimation.bak for example) then press the Paste button to paste your new bootanimation.zip
    6) Optionally you might want to copy the bootanimation.bak and navigate back to yout sd card and paste it there (in case you want it back in the future)
    7) Reboot your phone to see your new boot animation

Here's a YouTube video on how to do it as well

I have others in the works, including a red and green version. I've seen the Droid peeing on apple boot animation. Might get it and mod it (but don't hold me to that). Had some sizing issues with this one I had to work out so it took me a couple days longer than I expected but I'm prety happy with it. Can't count the number of times I've changed boot animations before I decided to throw my own together... heh. Finally got Photoshop working again, old butt photoshop 7, but it's better than nothing, so Hopefully my next ones will be better

I wish there were more Q boot ani's.  The one that wolf made is bad *** but I just wish we had more options to choose from.  Also, Jcole's are great too.

AmazingLarry actually made that official arearom bootanimation, I just changed the colors on it and added the glowing eyes in the cyan themed arq animation. Also, any mdpi bootanimation will work (of which there are hundreds). If you find an hdpi animation you like just open the .apk with 7-zip (or an equivalent) and pull the folder or folders out of it. Open them and resize all the images to 320x480 and then delete the folders out of the bootanimation.zip and drag the new ones in. If you unzip the bootanimation.zip, rezip it with 0% compression or it won't activate at boot (ie with 7zip you're going to set it to store). Hope this helps.

Exactly why my fist one took so long o make. While technically not difficult to do, it's just a bit time consuming. I'm working on one of the logo of an unnamed friut company getting peed on. Just figiting with the speed. Since AR2.3 boot so much faster than stock.... heh

Edit the text file in the bootanimation.zip cut the number of frames in half or increase the framerate. Also, try making an original animation. There's several tools out there for bootanimation frames. Id make a fresh one, but larrys is really good. I just don't like the dark blue he used (same blue yours is). Adjust that matrix scroll so its vertical not horizontal and vertical. Also, make the bit depth 8bit. Your animation is too large. 8bit won't reduce quality it'll just cut the size in half.

I wanna use this boot animation that I found but I don't know where to put it or how to make an update.zip so it goes there automatically.  Little help?  Should be already sized correctly

EDIT: Nevermind, I found a tutorial elsewhere on the forums that shows how to do it
