      Making Awesome Look Badass
    WARNING
THIS THEME MAY MELT YOUR DEVICE, CAUSE SEVERE BURNS, AND/OR COOK YOUR RAMEN NOODLES. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK ;)

    I present the:

    Quote
    BlueFire Theme

I advise that you use this with a dark wallpaper/setup and i looks best when accompanied by HoloLauncher as it's a IS based theme with some tweaks. I am willing to create custom wallpapers for AA51 members to match all my released themes. I'm working on a icon set to be used with HL to go along with this theme.

ANY AND ALL CRITICISM IS WELCOME AND APPRECIATED!

This comes as a cwm flashable zip, it SHOULDN'T soft brick you as I've test flashing it 20+ to be as sure as possible (my Q may hate me now lol). Even so, I advise you to keep a current backup of your device via cwm just to be the safe side!

This theme has one flaw in it: The glow around entered text in search bars... I spent 2months trying to fix the 9patch for them (I used EVERY fix google would vomit up from the recesses of the deep net) and had no success. If you think you can fix these, please go right ahead, then contact me and I will update my links and credit the hell out of you!.

I have a bonus coming along for this theme in a day or so, right now I'm throttled pretty badly and uploading anything takes a while. I'll have the add-ons posted by tonight hopefully, they're finished but uploading is a pain as i said.

    PLEAS ENJOY AND COMMENT!
(ps: I haven't the time to upload screenshots, but if you get this, please by all means post at least one unless you would rather not then as i said simply enjoy)

Thanks Jake! This is my first, so I hope everyone that gets it enjoys it as much as I do. I'm using it currently and it's actually my personal theme. I liked it so much I thought I would share it with you all, I'm wiping my system after a backup and starting on a brand new theme to coincide with another special project I'm working on for everyone here at the forum.

Also, don't pay any mind to the wifi hotspot SSID "virus_setup" in the screenshots lol, I name all my wireless connections that so that if my device has trouble with the passcode and i end up having to leave it open (or am in a hurry/lazy) its less likely someone will attempt to connect to it out of fear or getting a virus.

Another note, I would love to see the graphics team here at AA51 come together and do work under collaboration. Actually work together as a group to put out a fine butt theme for the AreaRom on each device. Divide the work load, incorporate everyones talents, and produce something face meltingly AWESOME. It's possible, and would be nice as hell.

Awesome theme! I've been using Holo Launcher for quite a while and now have the rest of the phone themed to match it is perfect.

I also had the reboot issue with the power button. I hope that's something you can take care of.

I'm also going to agree about the battery meter thing. The text of the percentage would be a nice addition.

Overall great work! I'll be using this for the foreseeable future. I'll try to post a screenie or two after I take some. I found some acceptable icons and made a wallpaper to complete the look. Also changed the rest of the launcher colors to ICS blue.

Anyway, good job! And many thanks for sharing!

      I LOVE TO ARGUE
Did you theme all of the framework.apk, systemui.apk and the associated application icons? If you want to theme all of that stuff to ics blue hex and push it all back to me (using the last arearomq v1.x release as the base)... ill push a release out asap. I am so tired of theming at this point. Its a major reason why I don't push out releases. Use the v2.x icons for signal and all of that. If this makes sense to you ill gladly collab with you. I can theme as good as anyone else I just hate doing it. It gets old quick. But you seem to understand .9 png's which helps a lot.

If you are willing to do this and understand what I'm saying let me know. You would be taking a huge load off of me when it comes to pushing a new release. I have a lot I want to do to the next release; but I'm not up for theming everything. Thanks and let me know.

Remember one thing though... you've got to use a fully stable releases .apk as the base. What this means is the final release has an issue with recompiling a few .apks. An apk can only be decompiled and recompiled so many times before it breaks. It may be best to start with the stock rom and build its theme from it. If you get this done and can flash it as stable let me know and ill put all of the arearom stuff in it. Maybe start from v1.0? Wherever you start from let me know that and ill finish it and walk you through what I did so you know how we built this rom. Take it easy...

      Making Awesome Look Badass
I'm back, sorry for the long pause.

My pc kicked the bucket so I was busy buying parts and building a new (and VERY much improved) rig

Lets start from the top shall we?

    1) The power menu on my system works. I haven't the slightest clue as to why it is force rebooting for any of you, I cannot reproduce this. AND to top that I tested this theme for a good while before posting it. I tried every function I know and it all came out right on my end.

1s) here is my current proposed solution to this issue: I will recreate this theme from the ground up, and from stock settings.

    ---------------------------------------------

    2) The Bat% in the notification bar is an easy fix, I'm sorry I took so ling to respond.

2s) My proposed solution: I will release a version with the Bat% available along side the original version.

    ---------------------------------------------

    3)

I themed what I could, and used HoloLauncher as the shell/desktop. I actually do understand everything you wrote, and anything I misunderstood I will easily and very quickly pick up and learn (I learn extremely fast).

I theme EVERYTHING I get my hands on whether its software/hardware/cookware/etc lol
I'm an artist by nature, so I love merging art with the physical world, not to say I don't need a break from it sometimes as the mental exertion can be very exhausting at times. So I would gladly collaborate with you and anyone else here to make all things art/design better/more beautiful

I have one problem though. On my old pc .9 pngs were not compiling correctly. I was using the .9 png tool, and the correct commands etc. but I could not for the life of me get the things to retain the information required for proper stretching of the image. Its very annoying actually.

I haven't given it a shot on my new pc though. If I do encounter the same issues I would very much appreciate some help. The .9 pngs are the only thing holding me back really, once I figure out why they are not editing correctly I will probably melt my phone with flashing full themes.

This phone has such potential, I want to bring that potential out and show people that these affordable phones on these affordable plans can meet and more often than not exceed their top contract carrier counterparts.
