This adobe .pdf file is a compilations of posts with instructions and comments to customize your phone.
Most all has be quoted from Daddy366, DroidHost and many others.
I've just assembled a logical step by step method to achieve Centura nirvana.

You only need the fix if you have more than one partition on your ext. sdcard. (most ppl won't need to)

Apparently, even the idiot's guide can't account for idiots like me lol. I must be interpreting it all wrong and missing a step or 2 or 3 or 4, because here is what happens every time I try......
-Downloaded the Centura CWM, Odin, and phone & files are visible to computer, as directed in the pdf
-booted into download mode as directed and nothing happens except phone asking to pick
one of the two options, download custom yada yada or not.
-I choose yes of coarse, and then droid is on screen and says below him===
"Downloading... Do not turn off target!!"
and at top of screen it has these 6 lines every time:

    "[Odin3]
     PRODUCT:  amazing3gtrf
     VERSION:  s73dcwyamj1
     CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD:  NO
     CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
     SYSTEM STATUS:  CUSTOM"

-and that's all, it just stays at that screen and makes absolutely no progress until i finally reboot it manually
any advice for the idiot that can't follow the idiot's guide ?  :)

after you have the phone in dl mode you need to start odin up and make sure there a colored box with a com# in it if so click on the pda box and find the tar file you dl and dbl click on it it will palce it self in the pda box [dont not open the tar file] after that click the start button and wait for a green pass in odin.then follow the rest of the guide to reboot .

Hey guys, so everythings going ok, but when I go into the odin program to start the fireworks: 1. I'm not getting the connection ID box to light up blue (or at all) and another thing is when I put my centura into that download mode, it already says ODIN up in the program bar, even after factory resetting it. I feel like I'm sooo close, help me take the last few steps and I'll donate some chachangg (not like a payment for services, but as a very thankful visitor to the site)

Let me know. I appreciate help.
And, make sure you are directly connected to the motherboard USB port(s), not thru a hub or the front panel connector.
