In the keyboard settings on my Samsung Galaxy Centura there is a box that I have checked for Voice input - it says Show voice entry button on keyboard. It IS checked but there is not voice input icon on the keyboard. I have Wifi turned on and can use voice input with some programs as well as the Google search bar at the top of the home screen. I find it really handy to have that voice input from the keyboard as it does work well but it's MIA - MISSING.
I'd swear I saw it at one time but it's missing form Messaging, browser field input, email and any other program I've tried today that needs text input from the onscreen keyboard. Any idea how to get it to show up?
I do think I've got a program I used on one of my Moto Droids that added that function to the regular keyboard but if I remember it was a memory hog so I'd rather not use that.
No info found in the PDF manual for the phone on voice entry.
Why do I have the feeling this is another stupid simple solution I'm not finding ...
