Hello I got the centura. I flashed the arc1.1 rom then the oc kernel fix.

    Anywhos

One of the main thing the phone lacks is storage space.

When I try to use a app like
Link2sd, or apps2sd. I get the error saying I can't because my phone storage device is emulating an sd card.

    How to get past this???

I read somewhere I could d/l the android sdk and build a Rom .pr something Idk I'm a newb lol.

Also there was something about changing the mount command in some of the files.. or something.

Anywhos can any of you tell me how to do this

Thank you in advanced for what I am sure will be a great help

You can put files on sd card i.e. music, photos, video and the phone will find them.
Unfortunately there is not a good way to place or move your apps to ext. sd.
Fortunately that problem is being worked on for us and may come out in a new release soon.

Link the files to get past the emulating storage error, don't try moving them.
Linking the files is almost the same as moving them.
A link is a "shortcut" a small file pointing it to the file that's been moved to the external sd card.

Alright so I used viper recovery that came with arc1.1 to partition my sdcard.

    I used format EXT2

When I rebooted phone. It said ''sd card blank, or wrong filesystem installed, format now?''

    So I did....
    Try link2sd again doesn't work

Put sd card in my pc ti do it there and there is only 3.8gb instead of 8gb. The partition size I created on phone was that size.
So I formatted it to default. Still only 3gb.

So now it's in fat32 format. Still doesnt work.

Any advice. Bout to wipe phone and re flash Rom and try from scratch.

Never ran into any issues partitioning my external sd card. However, I did not use the ClockWorkRecover to format it. I originally did mine using gtparted on a linux machine. I also formatted mine 2 gigs, ext3.

for the sdcard partitions dont use cwm for that, some devices might not work. partition your sdcard using gparted... 2gb as maximum requirements.

@juggalofisher if you can still backup any files from that sdcard to your pc..then reformat your sdcard you can either do that via cwm, pc or on gparted program. after thats done use gparted to partition your sdcard.....
google a gparted guide on how to partition sdcard propertly

Yeah if you are running the newest area ROM on your centura then you can use the app link2sd to link apps to your SD card. It doesn't save you as much space as installing to sdcard but that hasn't been fixed yet...
Just follow instructions from link2sd Google play store description and you should be linked pretty quick

When you say that it won't be as good as moving the app: about how big of internal memory will a game like N.O.V.A. 3 that is 2.3 GB be? If I link it to my sd card?

As long as you link app, cache and data for the game to sd card, it shouldn't use hardly any space at all on internal memory (save for a few bytes for the link).
