Is there a chance we will see kit kat on the Centura? I know that the requirements are 512Mb of RAM, but I know people are working on porting JB, which I believe requires more RAM than that.

    Hi Everyone.
I was wondering have any you did some testing with the centura with avrcp 1.3  and what version does this phone have?  I would like to get meta information on my Bluetooth radios (IE song, album, artist) with the a2dp Bluetooth stuff.  I  tested a variety of new radios and was not having luck with this meta data feature.  I would like to get it working with a fix or work around than writing it on the screen with a sharpie LOL.   I did find an app called Bluetooth connect and play app that allows you to switch the default music app launched which is nice especially if you want something besides play music.  I am not the author of the app but is free on the play store.  Wanting to use neutron because I like the sound quality, not because of its interface.

On another note has anyone got USB music connect ivy to play nice between radios and the centura or android in general.   I think allot of players still do mass storage but android 4 I think went to MTP and a working work around or fix for the centura might help expand compatibility in this regard.  I tried the top rated one off the play store but im not so sure its actually working even though it shows the status change nor is it helping usb connectivity testing on a variety of new radio units I tested on.

Will we see a 4.3 or 4.4 ROM anytime soon even if its for testing?  I wonder if it fixes some of these issues im seeing with radios.  On a positive note playback controls seam to function under Bluetooth.
    Thanks.

All I really need the phone to do is to connect to wifi. How much modification has to go into getting this rom to work? Keep in mind, the centura is my first android.

if thats all you want it for you need to mod the updater script and remove all the lines that have to do with the radio img.....remove the radio.img itself.....make a backup and flash it.........your on your own here so if u dont know what your doing .then dont

Do as he said and I also removed all calling and texting apps. It does not even show signal bars, is very fast, has no OC kernel yet, and is stable. You can find link in next post
