Hey yall I need to edit something in boot.img and can't find it anywhere on my phone, is
it hidden or what? I need to edit the ro_secure=1 line to ro_secure=0 so I won't have to type
su before entering each line in adb prompt. Thanks for any feedback on this.

OP is right with the boot.img, as ro.secure is on the default.prop that's built into it.

If you ls -l /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name it should tell you which block is assigned to boot.

Alternatively, read the updater script from a Centura ROM, it'll tell you there also.

i use es file explorer to edit mine........build prop is under device/system..... and the default prop is under device......
make sure you set es file explorer with root permission.....theres a globe at the top left click on it then go to tools...then root manager..click on it and when it opens scroll to R/W and check all the boxes on the right side.......then you can edit what you want..................

you might want to check the default  prop first to save you some time and see what its set for then you will know........

Since ro.secure is built into the boot.img, default.prop is overwritten on every boot.

I have a boot.img toolkit someplace. Let me find the link.
