After trying everything I could think of....I ended up just turning the phone off, removing the SIM card, reinserted the card then the battery...turned on the phone and so far no issues yet and it's been about 3 hrs since I've done that....so hopefully it was all I needed to do to stop the problems

I haven't had any problems at all, and haven't heard of any except for people who have tried rooting by flashing the wrong kernel ( modem included ). Hopefully you don't have any more issues. P.S. Don't flash anything to your phone, or try to root it. Yet. We are getting very close to getting it on xda.

unfortunately that did not fix the problem....I'm thinking I might have to return the phone and get a new one and see if I get the same problem

So i was watching my mobile network status...and it kept jumping between HSPA and UMTS....I'm thinking that may be part of the problem as to why I keep getting a connection time out error all the time as it is constantly jumping between the two.

    any thoughts?

Not likely, my Rugby Smart jumps towers constantly and I only get time-outs when RAM usage is excessive.

On my note ii on st. I get timeouts when I havent been using net for a bit and haft to hit retry three times or so. Then it runs. Even when it says 4g or h+ [rom logo varies]. If you get success with a new phone tell me please. Im on gsm tho if that makes a diffrence to u. Idk if st gs2 is gsm or cdma but im guessing the latter

That is what happens if I try to use Facebook....if you notice the page is done "loading" with no data being received or sent yet where there should be a picture is just that blank spot

I have the same problems when they throttle my data.... call them and ask if they have a section 6 violation on your account. its exactly what happens to me... some apps like XDA developer app and speed test wont work at all.... just for fun call and ask or what did they say when you emailed them?
I find if I keep trying it, it works... like 4 times... this happend a lot on my iPhone when they throttled me until I cut the proxy... anybody confirm this???? First thing I will do is kill their proxy when I can root... the Root they have out right now is test or beta so IM not gonna touch it.... but full root with CW and SU should be soon... will see then huh? :) what I will do is use the BYOP sim I think so they cant cry about me modding.... look on the back of the box they try and scare you about modding this phone...

I did a battery and SIM card pull and got my data back too... my iPhone used to do this and when I did the proxy thing it stopped so what is it? I know they are throttling me right now cuz I got that fuzzy phone call they send out that you can hardly make out that says to save data and you have an issue (very cryptic) plus when you call them about it they say "All the computer says is you violated section 6 of your TASA, and I cant tell you anymore" and I say "WTF MAN how did I violate this and section 6 pretty much says if you use your phone for anything they can turn you off" (EVERYONE GO TO STRAIGHT TALKS PAGE AND READ SECTION 6 ALL THE WAY ITS NUTS) so they can pull the pug anytime esp if you use video or "excessive usage" but never specify how much... it even says if you talk too much they can pull you... so its NOT UNLIMITED!!!! but I hear this is mostly the AT&T phones... so Im sure after the backlash of all the BIG contract plans not having unlimited DATA they will see the error of their ways... but maybe they wont cuz if I use Straight Talk and it uses their lines they STILL GET PAID so is there really a way to win???? I do a Google search every week for a Lawsuit on this because their advertising is in conflict with their TASA its just a matter of time... I really dont want money, I just want what I pay for, and thats true Unlimited data... I really dont use a crad ton either maybe 5GB tops but usually like 3GB and thats not much for watching youtube or using Pandora... (BTW in STs commercial they use both Pandora and Netflix on the phone, but in the TASA they say no videos or streaming radio) this video sums it up...  You are not allowed to view links. I bet this is mostly the AT&T users (OR GSM-A and the GSii) cuz I did nothing but watch youtube on my Verizon straight talk phone and never heard a peep from them...

I've called and they said everything was fine on my end and that they have to escalate to tier 2 support.....also I know I'm not throttled cause my habits haven't changed...I'd get on Facebook twitter etc and check my email and that's it.....didn't have a problem with the proclaim....my month is restarting today so I'll see if I get any problems after today

ok i think i figured out the data problems,,   after playing with my phone for a while i realized to that i didnt have data, other than when connected to wifi,,  so after shutting phone off, pulling sim, and doing countless other things, which none of them worked,    i turned on my gps location,  and now, i have h+ connection in my house, whereas i didnt have internet at all, and now wherever i go i have a connection,, please experiment with your phones and try this out and let me know if it helped on yalls
