Does anybody have any info on the new Straight Talk LG Optimus Fuel?  I kno it's running Android 4.4 KitKat but how much of an improvement is it over my current Android 2.3.6 LG Optimus Dynamic/Logic. I ask this because I have installed PowerAmp on my other 2.3 phones and with the exact same settings and the exact same track being played, the sound sucks unless it's on my Dynamic/Logic. Why would it sound different? They have the LG Optimus Fuel at Wal Mart right now for $32 shipped to the store. Any help with any ROM's or programming for this phone would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Just got my Optimus Fuel today. So far, its a pretty smooth system. The Storage fresh out of the box looks like this:
    Total Space: 1.76 GB
    Avalible: 1.36 GB
    Apps: 504 MB
    Pictures, videos: 9.12 MB
Audio (Music, Ringtones, podcasts, etc.): 220 KB
    Downloads: 8.00 KB
    Cached data: 24.18 MB
    Misc: 16.00 KB

The 1.2 Ghz Dual Core, give me a pretty smooth usage. The battery charged really fast, and lasted a while

One thing that I didn't like was the background running processes:

    RAM:
    Used: 315 MB
    Free:  100MB

That 100 will go pretty fast once apps start getting put on there.

All in all, its a rather nice phone for the low low price of $34 after Tax. It makes a nice replacement for my broken one until I get up some money for the Moto G. The 3.5" screen is a little small for me since I am used to the 4.5, but I can make do.

Now if we can get some people together to figure out a good root, this phone will rock. The Optimus Line seems pretty fluid at being rooted. So only time will tell.

For a list of specs, check you local WWW or Search Engine.

Hi, i thought i would post this for any that might want it, this is the full user guide it doesn't come in the box from straight talk i got it from LG Directly, however i was told that they do not list this phone on their site because they need a contract agreement still from tracfone, net10, st or some such bs. Anyhow here it is.

I just got an Optimus Fuel, and have been trying to work with the OK Google feature as my old phone was too old to have this feature.  I keep reading online that you can use OK Google from any screen, but I can't find that option on this phone.  This is a pretty newish phone, so why can't I get it to work.  I can get OK Google to work from the google app, but I'd like to use it from any screen

@Timotheous The stock LG launcher (and some/most other third party launchers) don't have the "OK Google" hotword available from any screen. Only the Google Search app itself can invoke listening by default. You have to click on the Google Search widget first and say "OK Google" or click the mic icon directly, then say your search. Or navigate to the Google app and click it first.

The Google Now Launcher on the Play Store has the feature you mention in its options, however. This launcher is what you would use for *the* Google Android experience, the "stock" form of KitKat websites speak of. I'd recommend this option.

Alternatively, if you plan to root the phone, you can installed the Xposed framework and use a module named "OK Google for third party activities" to force the hotword listening on *any* launcher (or app) at any time. If you happen to prefer the stock LG launcher or want hotword detection on other apps, try this. Be careful as it can cause more battery drain and may interfere with apps that use the mic (if you choose to enable for apps, off by default.)

Finally, LG has a "pie menu" you can pull up by swiping from just off the bottom edge of the screen and then onto the screen. It shows a quick launch icon on the left for Google Search this way (LG's QuickMemo need on the right.) This pie is menu cannot be edited on stock, sadly. It can be pulled up on any app at any time, however. Very handy (once you know it exists lol) and could be all you need if total hands-free command is not needed.

Thanks.  I have one more question.  I transfered a number of my apps to my SD card to save space.  However, when I turn the phone off and back on, those apps are no longer on my home page.  They are still on my phone, I just have to re-assign them to the home page which is annoying.  It's like it's not loading the contents of the SD card, or something.  My previous phone would take a couple of minutes every time I turned the phone on to load the contents of the SD card and it would be fine.  Is there an easy way to fix this?

I've noticed that problem too and just resorted to not using that feature, but then again I don't use too many apps either lol

Actually it doesn't work properly. You can make a backup but it crashes trying to restore or factory reset. You have been warned! I will release my working version later tonight or sometime tomorrow then

Until we can find a permanent way to rescue this device, custom ROMs would take a while to get right. I bricked mine while working on a modified stock kernel

Ok thanks Motorhead  so eventually there should be something out down the road I'm hoping? At least maybe cm11 would be sweet anything with a built in hotspot tether! That's my only issue with this optimus fuel l34c on kk I can't find a way to hotspot it because it's locked down! Would appreciate any ideas if you know of any thanks again moterhead

Straight Talk (Tracfone ) doesn't want you to use tethering (read terms and conditions) , so I believe that they disabled the function in their version of the build (along with a lot of other things) . :(

I just got a Verizon Wireless prepaid LG Optimus Zone 2 (LG VS415PP) from Radio Shack for 30$, it's told to me that its just like the Fuel L34C, its just made for Verizion. It has all of your spec's, Towelroot did it for me, no ROMs tho.
    Good Luck!
