So, I bleeped up. I bleeped up rather bad. It was so bad, my phone doesn't work and I voided the warranty so sending it back in WASN'T an option. This is how the story goes:

I wanted a new rom. This 2.2.2 crap the retarded precedent offers is worthless. I mainly wanted a new rom so I could install a music player with better equalizers for more bass. I had "rocket player", which had a equalizer but it sucked. I got another music player, n7 or something like that, but it required 2.3+. AreaRom was just what i needed. So I got home, odin and crad, and what do you know, after i do odin, I realize i didn't put the arearom.zip anywhere on my phone. In haste to fix my !!Censored!! up, i try to install some cyanogen 7.3.0 or something mod .zip i had and to my demise, nothing. Now it just says "Android" in the middle of the screen. This is the result if you !!Censored!! up while doing this, so do yourself a favor. Don't !!Censored!! up, or don't do it AT ALL. Some OC for you, the result of me not doing the rom installation correctly.

I threw my phone against the ground on concrete in pure frustraton. Phone still works (as in boots to the battery symbol/"android" letters) but i broke off the little side panel containing volume buttons and the sd card slot opening. Also left a very nasty scuff. No cracks in the screen, very surprised.

This is not a HELP ME thread, this is just a general thread saying "if you can't do it, don't do it, or you end up like me" thread, which kind of fits in general because there isn't any other sub forums or any forum section that fits this better.)

You can dodge a wrench, You can dodge a ball
There are guides to help those that need it. There is also IRC with alot of knowledgeable people to assist someone who might run into an issue or question along the way. Best piece of advice, follow the guides exactly step for step. If you don't know what you are doing, ask for help. Plenty of help around here. Please watch the language and also, change username immediately, this is a family forum.

    1. soft bricked = software issue is fixable

    2. hard bricked = software not fixable

    3. concrete slab = issue lies with operator

You should have verified with us step 2 before proceeding.

Let me know. I appreciate help.
This is a post the shows that your attitude and lack of common sense can cost you money.

    Why?
    • Due to your name, that YOU picked, you are not allowed on IRC. So, no help there. (You were warned to change it many times)
    • Due to your attitude, your phone stopped working. You went in knowing it all, and decided that reading and following directions was not for you.
    • And last, but not least, due to your absolute disregard of proper ettiquette and language in a "family forum", your account is now gone.

Let this be a warning to all:

Ask for help. We can/do help ALOT of people.
Watch the attitude. We won't put up with it.
We all volunteer here to help. If you decide to not take advantage of it, well... I hate to say it, but too bad.

All in all, a good day for the OP...
