    Hi, Everyone,

    I'm Bob from Texas.

I've had Android off and on for several years and just went back to one, an LG Optimus Dynamic LGL38C, using Straight Talk on Verizon.

This was my first weekend with it:

    Thursday
Bought phone and put it on my ST account - felt pretty cool to have an Android again

    Friday
Added a few apps and noticed the phone memory was getting really full - feeling uncool
'Rooted' around for a solution and found Link2SD, (Apps2SD just fills up the smallish Internal SD) - feeling kinda cool again
Discovered I needed a rooted phone to use Link2SD - feeling kinda scared now
Long night spent figuring out how to root my phone - feeling tired

    Saturday
Decided to start early and root the phone, install Link2SD, and solve all my problems - feeling determined
Used One-Click, rooted the phone and was rocking with Link2SD - feeling like I'm the Man
Tried to download a video and found out the Ext SD wasn't mounted - Hmmm
Formatted Ext SD forgetting all my linked apps were there - feeling kinda stupid
Realized I had linked Google Play Store to Ext SD - feeling really stupid
Discovered One-Click didn't install ClockworkMod Recovery (and also that I should have made a backup) - feeling like I should kick myself
Tried all night to find and install Google Play Store APK - feeling really frustrated
Tried even later in the night to find a stock ROM for a LGL38C - feeling defeated and tired (passed out)

    Sunday
    Found AndroidArea51 - feeling better
Found post for One Click Root, CWM and Unlock Kernel for a LGL38C by DroidHost (AKA Hero) - feeling the Sun on my face again
Found, also, the rooted stock ROM, also posted by DroidHost (AKA Hero) - feeling really happy
Flashed the stock ROM and had my phone back - feeling cool again
Found AreaRom Dynamic v1.0 custom ROM by, you guessed it, DroidHost (okay, I'll stop with the Hero stuff) - feeling elated
Flashed the new ROM (It's pretty amazing by the way) and set up and re-installed - feeling ecstatic

I shoulda just said I did everything wrong until I found AA51.

This is my way of saying thanks to all involved and especially to DroidHost.

I joined so I can feel the Sun on my face, happy, cool, elated, and ecstatic instead of uncool, scared, tired, kinda stupid, really stupid, like I should kick myself, frustrated, and defeated (finally passing out). (Also so I could download the files I needed).

I don't know how much I'll be able to contribute. Although I have done some tinkering with VB and VBA, I'm new to Android programming, but I want to start learning it.

Keep up the excellent work everyone.

    Bob
