Author Topic: Hello, question about CWM for LG L38C

Topic Original "No modification"
I recently picked up a LG L38C phone after I bricked a Huawei Ascend phone, both from Straight talk. I applied your one root method to root this phone, and it went without a hitch. So no problems there and thank you for that guide  :). Now my question is how do I get into the CWM boot portion of the phone?

Another question, I am using a 4 gig Micro SD card in the phone. now it comes with 1gig of storage already. now I want to start utilizing the external micro sd card as a primary place to install aps to, also use it as a cache instead of using the limited memory of the phone itself. I am tech savy with computers and windows, this linux OS is completely confusing...

You can make a swap partition as the last partition of your sd card.
and link2sd. would take care of making your sdcard your primary app install location, but i don't think the lgl38c suppurts doing this

well first of all you'll need to partition your sdcard properly if its not... things might get buggy and such use Gparted to partition your sdcard i suggest to Google it on an easy guide through. (dont do it with cwm to partition your sdcard)  after its good to go...download apps2sdcard, link2sd or similar apps find them at the Google play store then follow there directions from the apps itself. ...still doesn't work?? it might not be supported.

it should still be able to boot into CWM, it is volume down and the home screen + the power button. Release the power button as soon as the LG logo pops up, or when the phone starts to flash...
