Hi I'm Aaron I'm new to this forum and want to say thank you for the amazing in depth education you provide on driods. So there I was my phone filleted open like fish... :o JK  ;D  so anywase I have the Walmart LGL38c I rooted it with oneclickroot found here in the stickies, got foxfi, got titanium backup deleted almost all the factory apps and replaced them with premium user apps moved all of them to the internal sd. I bought a screamin 32GB class 10 SD card and thought I would be clever and format it so I could use link2sd to give me massive memory. I put the SD card into my computer and ran minitool partition wizard formatted 16GB FAT32 partition and 13GB ext2 primary. I inserted the card into my phone and it just says "blank sd" whenever I try to mount it. I tried formatting it in system recovery as well that didn't work. What method or formatting should I use for my SD card to make this work?

Question 2: I have Rom Manager and accidently installed a CWM flash recovery that doesn't work with my phone attempts to use it just leaves it stuck on LG screen and I have to reboot it to get out of it. What is the best course of action to undue my mistake?

Question 3: I'm curious to mess with a more advanced ROM than the factory interface what would you recommend?

Thank you very much for your time and concideration any help will be greatly appreciated  :)

Not sure i can help you with your sd card scenario. But as for your cwm, im pretty sure you can just download the one for this phone and just repeat the flashing process with the correct version of cwm. Id wait for someone to confirm that before you do it tho. And as far as a new rom, have you checked out arearom Dynamic v1.0 from this site? Im currently using it and its pretty good. I havent really come acrosd anyother roms that id be comfortable flashing to this phone, as most roms are built for specific decives and i havent come across any others yet built for this phone specifically

Ok Thank you grouchpunk  :) I'm really suprised that there isn't more out there about formatting the SD cards especially with android games getting as big as 2-3GB now a days why not have a fast 32GB sd card to use at your disposal to put all your music pictures and apps on? I think it has great potential to turn a cheap android into a powerful device. I'll do my homework on that ROM so I know what I'm doing.

Oh forgot to ask where is the CWMR for the L38C I've been looking everywhere and can't find but the CWMR's for all the other Optimus models. If I'm reading the instruction correctly on that kick butt new ROM you guys put out installing that ROM will automatically give me the right CWM Recovery for my phone?

Great news I figured out what was wrong. The SD Card formatting worked and the factory ROM cannot mount nor see the SD card however Link2SD can. Go into your settings and follow the instructions at the following link: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login  and you will be able to relocate all the apps to the SD card  :) The only catch to this is your ROM cannot see the card so pictures music and so on would have to installled manually from a computer? let me know if someone has a way around that glitch

I found the link to partitioning the sd card here You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login***-all-things-root-***-194/partitions/ guess I should of used the search more carefully. I know the right cwm image is in the oneclickroot file but when I rerun the batch file it just closes it won't let me reinstall.

The batch wont let you run it through? Hmmm..... could ou tell me what it says when its done? Or maybe what ot says before it stops? One thing  is very important with this phone, you need to make sure ALL drivers are installed on your computer for the phone. I had to download them from the internet, as windows 7 couldnt automatically install all the drivers, just most of them. A google search with the phone model and the word drivers or something like that should point you in the right direction. I dont think the drivers are available on the lg site. Even if you think all the drivers are installed, unless you manually installed them you need to give it a ashot to see if it fixes your oneclick batch prob

ok thanks guys I'll give that a try. The other day I tried unrooting the phone to see if it was just closing cuz the phone was already rooted but no cigar and now the phone is stuck unrooted lol can't dig my hole fast enough. That would be awesome if its just a driver problem and I can still rerun the batch file to get it rerooted and the right CWM back on it that would solve all my problems and I can finally try that cool ROM you guys made.

    Monkey boy-

I have been reading as much as I can on the lg optimus dynamic and if I understood your post correctly you said that you got links2sd working? And are you able to access that 1gb of internal memory when you root the phone or do you have to use titanium backup?

    Thanks in advance

You don't need Titanium Backup.  Link2SD will never work right until CWM is rebuilt for this device. It is partially ported from the e400. It does most of what we need it to.

If you partition the card your going to run into problems. There is work arounds for most of it but it's a pain.

I eneded up coming to the same conclusion formatting the external sd card causes major headaches just rin it as a normal fat32 partition dont mess with it lol I use titanium backup to move what apps I can to the internal sd card which has a more than ample 1gb for app and CWM backup storage
