yeah, i maybe lasted an hour or two max as well.  haha.. i was messing with a friends atrix i rooted for him, trying out some roms at the same time, he walked in while i had my phone apart.  guess he thought it was his, the look on his face... hahaha

on topic though, i was surprised to find absolutely noooooo info like this on the dynamic online.  i guess its still that new, and being an introductory device..

    Hi,
Is there a way to use this with a minutes card and not a monthly plan? I bought it for my elderly mom because she was having problems seeing and dialing from her previous net10 phones. She only uses it as a phone, but CS said I have to switch her to a $50 plsn. She has over 9000 minutes because she never comes close to using them, and a monthly plan for her is ridiculous. Her current phone is an lg 800
Thanks for any help or advise you can share!

I'm afraid with straight talk it's the same way. All their smartphone devices require the unlimited plan.

      Deeper down the rabbit hole!!!!
Safelink would be perfect for that... its 250 minutes/texts free a month, free phone (nothing great mind you, and NO choice of phone either, just calls and texts) and you can buy tracfone double airtime cards to get double minutes if you run out... also known as the infamous Obamaphone lol... it's like a lifeline cellular program, there are some qualifications you must meet to get it but for the intended purpose it's worth looking into... THAT is what the program was meant for... there are also other plans with rollover minutes but they are like 150 minutes/texts free a month and they rollover... 1 text = 1 minute

I have an Lg L38C. i have deleted the Dialer, phone.apk, accidentally. i need. a stock rom, i guess.
if there is something difficult. like. a different 2.3.6 that would work for LG.

Alright if you still have the dialer app and phone app. Call ST for issues might be a configuration problem. Tell them you accidentally deleted those apps. And that data, calling, and texting don't work. But before that can you first try to re activated by dialing *22890 but if you can not really do that then call ST customer services.

If you tell ST you deleted them more then likely they will tell you tough luck since you rooted it.

You need to read the guide for the Nandroid again. You can also just unzip the *Stock Nandroid* & pull the apps & their odex file & put them back in your phone.
