If you factory reset or flash a stock/custom ROM on the TracFone LG L38C, do you need to contact customer service to restore the minutes/texts/data and/or service days?

I was able to find some general info on Google for NET10, Straight Talk, and Page Plus, all of which said you don't lose minutes after factory resets. Nothing about flashing ROMs though and there was no mention specifically about TracFone either. Yes, I am aware they're all TracFone family brands, but I rather not make assumptions, logical or not, with $100 worth of minutes. And more importantly, my question isn't whether or not I will lose the minutes, but rather will I need to contact customer service to restore them everytime I reset or flash the phone. Unless, of course, you do lose your minutes, in which case fml.

    Thanks.

You're fine, I've done so many installs on this phone and haven't lost any minutes. Your number and therefore account are saved to the sim card in the phone.

The phone has a SIM card?  :o
I'm guessing it's unremovable and probably on the other side of the large, rectangular sticker underneath the battery?

Thank you for your answer. It gave me the confidence I needed to go ahead and flash the phone and I can confirm that you don't lose minutes. I just had a question regarding something in your answer that I'm having trouble understanding. (Sorry, I'm very new to this.)

When you say "everything is stored on the phone" it gives the impression that you are referring to the internal memory on the phone. Something I know can't be true, considering that I verified it myself. So when you say "on the phone" are you referring to a separate microchip on the logic board that is inaccessible through the phone interface or ADB and therefore unaffected by resetting, flashing, etc?

The Amount of mins that you have on the phone is on a seperate chip if it wasn't  then  would be able to mod it to add all the time you wanted......ST or any other service you might have still has control over you phone no matter what you do to it....theres just some things you cant get into..........

Wouldn't it make more sense to store a unique and heavily-encrypted identifier on said chip, the minutes data on a provider server, and have the minutes update to the phone upon successful network identification? I understand you're not the designer of these things, but it's just a thought.
