I have the LG Opt. Sometimes when I plug the usb cable into my computer, it works fine and I see both the internal and external memories.

Other times, when I plug it in, it will only see the internal, or it won't see either one. It doesn't matter which USB port I use (I have a Dell Optiplex, two in front, four in the rear).

I've got the software for the LG installed and sometimes, when I plug my phone into my puter, it 'reinstalls' the software, for some reason. Then, after that, again, sometimes it recognizes it, sometimes it doesn't.

Am I not propitiating the computer gods enough or what? Do I need to sacrifice some oatmeal cookies to them or is there another way to fix this?

I am what I am and what I'm not I'll never be.
I'm afraid I don't have that problem at all. Installed driver, rebooted, no issues. Turn on USB Storage Mode from Status Bar dropdown and it's good to go.

It's never the cable but in my case, when this happened, it was a bad cable. However, in my case it was always both or none and it seems like a bad cable would be a very unlikely cause for only one showing.
