Just curious why l38c not seeing my 10gb fat32 partition on my sdcard, link2sd uses the 5gb ext4 partition ok .
CWM recognizes the fat32, and also windows does when connected with usb, but no file manager on the phone sees it, any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks

    Is it primary?
If it does not have a drive letter i.e. *.fat32 vs z.fat32 it says blank disk. Hope that helps I am using link2sd with the stock sdcard got .fat .fat32 and ext2 partitions too work with it no more low disk space :-)

I have tried everything to get my partitioned sd card to work in my LGL38C . I am using arearom 1.0 My phone is rooted , I partitioned using clockwork mod and my phone won't recognize the fat 32 partition my sd card, link 2 sd sees the ext no problem, I tried partitioning the card using mini partition tool wizard and same results, I read your post and decided to try again manually setting the drive letter to z using mini partition, Would you mind giving me a a quick run down of the process you used to achieve this on your phone ? what am I missing ?

Ok, I done some more thinking, when you first got the l38c, setup the stock rom and checked "settings, storage"

You will notice you had readout for your sdcard and sd-ext card as they should be, after doing the 1 touch root, cwm
and unlock, you still had it right, either there was something botched in the internal- system swap trick if you did this or
something in the Arearom 1.0 rom which causes it, I'm not sure but its one of those two. I have
a new l38c ordered and will go through the procedures again while watching for when the issue comes up.
Also if you delete the ext partition from your sdcard and look you will see the fat32 partition show up but no ext so your no better off. please yall leave some feedback if you have experienced this issue with your L38c.

Update..   I received my new lg38c yesterday, as soon as I set it up and checked storage there was my
fat32 partition, I then proceeded to add ext4 partition after which the fat32 disappeared.

My apologies go to author of the internal system hack and to the creators of android Arearom 1.0, as they weren't in effect then, these 2 scripts are good to go and my thanks to the developers of them. There is something to do either with android 2.3.6 kernel maybe I don't know but i can live with it just can't browse to fat32 and install apks as i did on android 4.x or install my mapping program there as system doesn't
see it. Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Let me know. I appreciate help.
Basically, the fat32 partition has to be first, then ext4, then swap.

If ext4 is first, that causes the "no drive" error on this phone (well documented in another thread)

It's your partitioning scheme that's causing the issue.

In Linux, use gparted, and have the partitions, in order,
    FAT32
    ExtX
    Swap (if used)

The Issue is that its linking to the internal storage as SDcard and not the first partition on the actuall Microsd, I am currently playing with the system to find a solution but if someone knows without trial and error, im open to suggestions.

Sorry its been a long week, and this is the first time I have had to do anything for me time. Anyways through the muddling of the week i have found that you have to partition the SDcard 3 times fat 16mb (the reason for this is you never see it in the actual Android OS so ther is no point of giving it a large space, but as i am typing i guess you could always make it big enough for the restores for the default OS and AreaRom depending on the SDcard size.) etx4 ??GB fat32 ??GB, respectively to your partitioning size and needs. ITS THE ONLY way i have found without digging into the code to get it fixed. I tried leaving out the fa32 partition and sizing it to 1.2 for the apps storage to see if it would mount the SD card like most devices do.
So i have found the downside is you have to use foldermount app to move the SD card data to the _externalSD link. On top of which is having to use Link2sd app to move things off of the app area. So im contemplating a Resize of the partitions to make this actually usable for all the apps out there. I know a bards tale has a large file download and im not sure how to get around the download of that other than moving it then ref it. I know that this is a lower end device but this really is impractical. I guess its going to break down to tearing into the code to figure out why not just give it 1.2GB App and link the first SDcard partition as it should in most other  devices.
I did try and make the traditional ext a F2FS partition to see if it made a real bearing but i had issues with the partitioning taking on all the readers i had. Must require a name brand microSD as oppose to what i was doing but oh well.
I did also use the PIMPMYROOM app and played with enough of the settings to tweak it some, although i will post the changes after i get done with some more testing. A warning though don't use any 3g speed tweaking stuff atm as i have somehow managed to make it so that i connect to a wifi get an ip,DNS, Subnet etc and all the normal network stats but get no internet, but on 3g it works.

My endeavors Shall continue as i figure out how to get this thing practical for use.
