I used ClockWorkMod Recovery to repartition my external SD card. Link2SD recognizes my ext4 partition and uses it properly. However, my device does not recognize my primary partition FAT32 as a valid partition. I have tried formatting manually with ubuntu with no change in effect. I have read about custom roms, however this phone is not very popular. I am unable to find the custom rom needed to mount swap partitions and multiple partitions. Could someone give me some insight?

Here is a work around for now. Download Easeus Partition Manager. Partition the first 1Gb(you won't use this now but it is for future use) & format to FAT. Make another partition at the end of the card(using all but 1 or 2 gb depending on the size you want for linking apps) & format to FAT32. Now with the space left in the middle middle format it to EXT 3.

All partitions need to be primary.

You won't be able to make a Nandroid.
I have only tested this with Link2SD but is assume it would work with other apps like Apps2SD also.

I tried your workaround and it does not work. The phone starts but root appears to be gone also Internal is full. Both with and without the backup files on it. I've put my backup on to the First Partition and still same prob...Can you elaborate ?

As I've already told you this is a waste of time. Also telling someone that something doesn't work just because you don't know how to do it isn't a good way to get help.

Well I did do exactly what your workaround described but did not get the results you had said. Now you're saying your workaround is a complete waste of time? Why is that? If to your knowledge it is such a waste of time maybe removing the thread or atleast posting so would have been a good idea.

No. I actually mean it is a waste of time & have over & over. I gave the instructions for the ones like him that thought they must try it anyhow. The work around allows Link2SD to use the SD & the phone to use the SD as well but CWM can't work with a partitioned card on this phone. LG's code is terrible & I don't know how to fix what they broke. The best thing to do is move your apps to system apps. It will get you way more space then Link2SD will.

Some even listen after they have bricked their phone & have to come back to get me to help them fix it. Others never listen.

Yes. I only end up losing the actual SD or both.
