on nova launcher now, it's pretty good. :)
The phone will stuck on setup wizard after factory reset, which takes time to get into google play and install the launcher, so I'm still thinking about how to get the original launcher work.

when you root and what not you can copy any launchers apk to the system apps folder and then you will have a launcher that will survive a reset. you can also use titanium backup to make the regular launcher app a system app and that will make it survive a factory reset as well

read his comments. like i said if he can still install another launcher which he stated he could (in the comment i just quoted)  then he can copy that over and make it a system app and solve his problem of not having a launcher on system restore. once it becomes a system app it will stay over a factory reset / restore

his best bet then is to get some one with a working phone to copy it from it then message it to him and he can then copy and make it a system app... best way to do this is with root explorer or the likes. if that dosnt happen then my method would atleast make the phone useable through resets

I have copied the LGHome.apk file from my Fuel to my computer and attached it to this reply.

Change the zip extension to apk and install it.

While using the temporary launcher,Move the stock launcher (LGhome.apk) it into the system directory later change to its proper permissions via root explorer or similiar app and lastly reboot.
