Just got this phone and I am trying to track down what is draining my battery.  It seems bluetooth is high on the list even though I have it shut off.  And Google Play Services is also at the top of the list.  Anyone have ideas on how to reduce the usage by these two items?

Back in post #26 I mentioned a battery drain problem I was having. I think I have figured this out and it has nothing to do with TC1.3.

It seems that Settings/Data Usage/Mobile Data is "on" by default, and I have no download data left on my phone's prepaid account. So I'm guessing the phone has been constantly trying to download which caused the battery drain.

I was losing 15% per hour but since I turned Mobile data to "off" my battery has been stable for 3 hours now.

More background was that I had some data download available when I flashed ARC1.3 for the first time a few weeks ago. The ARC install did use this data download because I had not set up wifi yet. No battery drain issue until I flashed TC 1.3 last week. At that time I did not have any data download left and that is when the battery drain started. I flashed back to ARC thinking that would fix the problem but I continued to have the battery drain issue...which led me to this Mobile Data setting.

Also wanted to thank Ramious2012 in post 30 regarding the Battery Calibrator app. I did try this. Obviously, it didn't fix the problem but its good to know that this may be needed after a new ROM is installed.

I was just dealing with battery drain issue, so hope this helps.

My battery drain, on my Samsung Centura, is listed above. Problem seemed to be with Data Usage setting. I run bluetooth 24x7 and it does not drain my battery.

An app I read about is called "watchdog" from the play store. It is free. It will monitor your foreground and background processes and give you a listing of what is using the phone's resources.

I just came from a Galaxy Centura and never had the bluetooth drain my battery like this.  Especially if it was set to off.  Google Services is also draining my battery a lot too.

I've tried those monitoring apps before on the Centura.  They don't get anymore specific about what is using the battery than Android does with the built in battery info.  I'll check one out just in case, but I'm not sure it will be helpful.

I also have plenty of data left on my phone.

Another question I had was does anyone know how to disable the camera while the phone is locked?  I seem to be taking a lot of pics of my pocket.

Mostly is the display..apps like google services ect shouldnt be messed with since its a system app theyre all complexity linked up. But you may hibernate them with the app called "greenify" which it stops apps from running in the background, even though theyll run back up mostly is the system apps like the android os, google services, ect.

About the camera taken random pocket pics idk much though i had one (lg dynamic fuel) i didnt like it.
