    Hey!

Yes, we're talking about the Zone 2 and not the Fuel, however, this IS Fuel-related.

Basically, a friend of mine is trying to port CM11 to the Fuel. We have gotten the system to fully boot, however the screen does not work.

The Zone 2 has a 4.4.2+ kernel, and the Fuel has a 4.4 kernel. Qualcomm changed the graphics drivers between 4.4 and 4.4.2+ kernels, so we need a 4.4.2+ kernel. The Zone 2 is similar enough to the Fuel that we can use a Zone 2 4.4.2+ kernel to fix graphics, in which case we have a working ROM.

TL;DR if anyone has a Zone 2 please dump boot.img

Your friend has only used CM11 for the LG L40.

All that your friend did was change one line in the updater-script to allow the CM11 ROM from the LG L40 to boot on the Zone 2.

The reason the screen does not work is because the w3c uses different drivers then the w3. This is the same case with the LG Ultimate 2. A very talented developer has tried many times to get CM11 to boot on the LG Ultimate 2 and all have been fails.

The boot.img from the Fuel could help but may have some bugs.

There is a few guides that tell you how to get the boot.img. you can also get it by making a CWM backup and taking the boot.img from that.

That is just a bit if advice and I hope it can point you in the right direction.

I am the one and only Ryan C. and I love making ROMs and recoverys for TracFones like the LG Ultimate 2. I also enjoy making ROMs for the LG L38C.
