I think I have enabled it as far as I know (relative newbie..).

If I run USB host check (Taurus labs) It says host support is enabled.  Anything I plug in doesn't work (storage, dac, keyboard)  Nothing shows up in dmesg.

It almost seems as it isn't built in the kernel?

    anyone have any ideas?

    thanks!

I know the newest version of twrp has otg support, but don't know if the kernel itself does or not, but I might be able to look into it later

I was going to mention something earlier, but there are several utilities that were not included in the stock kernel in ramdisk/sbin, I believe  : flash_image, dump_image, erase_image, boot (for temporary load/run of of recovery.img, etc.) I honestly don't know if these are stand-alone subroutines, or need to be integrated in somehow. Any CM kernel would have these, and probably more. Thought about doing this for myself, but you know how busy I get. ;)

When I say I am relative newbie - I have done a little with a nook color.  (rooted, installed cm)

I kinda know the big picture.. - is there a cm that will work with these phones?  Is it the same hardware as one of the other lg's?  How would one go about running a cm?

BTW - I come to the l34c after having a zte valet.  The lg is much much faster - plus they still don't have root for the ZTE.  Running the speed test (AnTuTu) on both the ZTE and the LG - LG is almost 3 times faster.

Does this work? My 32-bit machine won't build it, so I don't know.

    Quote from daishi4u:
If you take the device tree that I have you in the link and take out all the krait stuff for the processor and change the variant to general then you can build a fully working version with the dtb...

Yeah, he made that statement after getting recovery to boot. Honestly don't know what that would do to  /system, or /boot.

Make sure you change the CPU variant from krait to cortex-a7 and remove all the rest of the krait stuff. If you're planning on building Cm then you'll need to use the custom graphics.c from motorhead`s viper device tree...I was planning on building, but have no idea how to figure out what binary blobs we need... Any idea daddy366? I've only built kernels and recoveries. Tried building android once but could never figure out what blobs I needed then either as there's really no good info out there on the topic.

lg was kind enough to include the vendor files with there source  no cong fiels for it......and cm needs config files in order to even start the build........will see what i can come up with.........for proprietary blobs for it...a lot if not all can be pulled from the phone itself....will let you all know if i need any thing...........

Yeah I knew the blobs could be pulled, but not sure which ones need pulled... That's my main problem. Suppose I could try to build and see what was left out and add it in from the stock rom, tried it with the centura though and it didn't work that way
