Is there any advantage to have a second partition (ext4) on the external SD card?  I have a 16gb SD card now.

Second partition is usually used for extended internal memory. Some apps like Link2sd can mount this partition and store major portions of apps(.apks) by symlinking to their .dexes and library files. this frees up internal memory for...more apps. There are also scripts (cronmod, etc.) that make this partition a direct extension of internal memory. I haven't used any of these with the fuel. Haven't needed the space yet. But my optimus one was severely limited. My choice was Link2sd, as it seemed to only access the partition as needed. Cronmod would cause the partition to be continuously scanned, which translates to high battery drain and low sdcard life.  ;)
