Has anyone seen, or know any more information about these? XT937C and XT939G are StraightTalk specific models of the Moto G.

A Google search of the model numbers shows that they were announced last year.  There's both CDMA and GSM version.  I don't see if the CDMA is Sprint or Verizon.  I wonder what the price will be?

Not sure about the straight talk models but the Verizon one has a locked boot loader, otherwise a very smooth running phone. If the cdma straight talk one ends up running on Verizon towers I might end up with 2 of these.

I was really tempted to get one of the Boost versions when they were on sale. I would have had to flash it to VZ any way, so i may just break down and try the Verizon one to begin with.

About the bootloader, isnt that easily unlocked from Motorola's website? Or was that just the Boost version?

JooseyJay, is yours a VZ prepay? Or did you flash a boost model to page plus?

Motorola will let you unlock the bootloader on their website but it voids the warranty, im switching to verizon and getting one soon

The Verizon ones can't be unlocked from the Motorola website as of a few days ago. And I believe the boost version runs on sprint towers, not sure if it has the same frequencies as the Verizon one?

Thanks for confirming that about the verizon bootloader. The boost versions do use sprint towers, but im not sure about the frequencies either. I dont have much interest in sprints (lack of) service, lol. I've seen that the boost versions can be flashed with verizon firmware, and activated on certain verizon mvno's (page plus, in particular). But that process didn't work for straightalks byod. The imei's are "not eligible."

Well... I broke down and got a VZ prepay version. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, lol. My Centura is still going to be my daily phone for the next few weeks. This IS a really nice phone so far. What a difference in hardware! The 3g signal seems to be stronger and more reliable than the Centura.

Interesting... Someone (from Argentina)  on XDA forum mentioned that their Moto G firmware version is:  173.44.9.falcon_umts.America.Movil.en.Ar

So, America Movil does have the Moto G! Wonder when they're going to release it in the US for ST/TF/N10 ?

I just got a used moto g with 4.3 in the mail, I stupidly updated to 4.4.4 on my first and sunshine doesn't work on it.

I need to still check the imei on the new one with ST to see if it had been on Verizon for 6 months and then I'm unlocking the boot loader and going to ST on it.

It sucks to have to buy another one but only have Verizon service in my area.
