Well I just bought a Nexus 4 and I thought I'd see if anyone wants to help me develop an arearom for the Mako devices. I know someone else here has to have a nexus. Message me if you do. I'm going to start with an AOKP base and work my way from there.

Well... It seems there are 3 basis people use with the nexus 4. The best all in one base is the one used by pacman IMO. Rootbox uses a great base but there's too much branding on that ROM. The only ROMs that enable crt-on have horrible bases. I want to have an unbranded pacman style ROM with crt-on animations, the nexus particles bootanimation, the ability to turn the navbar off to completely enable pie controls, and while I don't use it paranoid settings with holo options. Installable mods like e.l.e. ROM would also be a great feature. So this is going to be what on shooting for. I just need to brush up on jellybean modding.

Well to be honest I'm not sure I can really start right now. We are in the middle of a plant turnaround at work so I'm working a lot of hours until the 24th or so (if everything stays on schedule). Carbon ROM is the best I've found so far. Crt on and off animations. Great performance and battery life. I'm running Franco Linaro nightly kernel with display control and overclock. That with the addition of viper audio... I'm really happy.

I definitely recommend a nexus 4 to anyone.
