      I LOVE TO ARGUE
Just thought id fill people in on this phone who don't know. This is the new version of the Optimus One. This is the tracfone branded Optimus Two. I believe it is a tracfone branded as680 if I recall correctly. Hardware is identical to the q minus the sliding keyboard. Development is very very limited on this device. I've not read of any custom roms yet. It seems few people went for the net over the precedent... if you're looking for a cheaper android used on straight talk/net10 id highly recommend the precedent over the lg optimus net. While the camera is slightly better the lack of development for the net makes it a very stagnant phone in terms of customization. Feel free to add anything you feel is important to note about this phone.

Quick question..... I currently have a rooted Optimus Q (thanks to all the wonderful ppl here at area51). Anyways, my boyfriend has an Optimus Net. And he finally decided to let me root his phone. Yay how exciting  ;D..... Except  :o there is nothing posted in the "all things root" section for this phone. But in your post you stated that they are the same as the Optimus Q minus the keyboard which is true. But does that mean I could use the same method exactly to root his Net as I did my Q? Except of course I would need Optimus Net driver instead of the Q's driver. Also I had to download files for the Esteem, in order to root. Do I use the Esteem files for his Net or should I use something else, more like the Marquee files or Optimus 1 or 2? Please respond Ive been wanting to root his phone for months now. I want to be able to do it before he changes his mind.  :D

You could always try the poot method. It's how I was finally able to root my phone (Optimus Zip).
