There is but its either all or nothing. Why are you wanting to?

Sent from my LGL55C using Tapatalk

It was more a curiosity question. I have always kept my ringtone replacement apps and SMS apps on the internal memory and moved the other apps than can be to the sd card. Just seemed to make those apps work better on the internal memory. I noticed that in apps2sd it kept saying everything was on the phones internal memory when I knew it wasn't looking at the memory usage. I understand symbolic links so the principle I understood. Everything has been working great on this rom, happy with the performance!

I have my ringtone replacement and SMS apps (along with pretty much any app I have thats movable and mot a widget) on the sdcard and they all work fine. I don't use a2sd because I only have a 4gb Class 4 card so I don't have the speed or storage to really use it properly

I am also using the stock 4gig card and I use a2sd and everything works great. I'm posting benchmarks of over 1950 reg. And app load plenty fast with no lag or FCs. Have you tried it? If so what kind of issues did you have?

He's right a2sd works just fine on class 4 cards. You shouldn't see any reduction in performance with a2sd. All cyanogen roms (cm and miui) implement a similar tweak to a2sd because its so versatile.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding how it works. Does the a2sd partition have to go through the 'Media Scanning' that happens when I power on? That's the only thing that slows my boot time. Takes longer to scan the card than it does to get past the boot animation and to the home screen

Media scan happen on all phones with sd cards it gets everything in order data and all and a2sd has nothing to do with it. Just give it a sec. And it will be done think of your phone as a pc it needs time to load to work right so does your phone.

If you move dalvik as well to the sd-ext you should see at least 170mb internal.

Sent from my LGL55C using Tapatalk

How exactly do you move the dalvik to sd using a2sd? Does the "a2sd cachesdreset" command only move apps+data to sd? That command is the only one I have run except for the "vac" & "sclean" commands for weekly maintenance. If someone can explain how to move dalvik to sd via a2sd, it will be greatly appreciated.

It is so thoroughly explained in the instructions for each AreaRomQ release that it seems silly to regurgitate it for this thread. Check the instructions for the Q releases.
