Hi everyone. After rooting, installing CWM and AreaRom 2.1 on my LGL55C, my boss asked me to do the same for her's. NOW she wants to send it back for a charging issue. (I told her I *might* be able to restore to factory, but she seems to think maybe=yes...go figure)

So, I've done all kinds of google searches and can't find anything about removing all this beautiful work. I've found it for Samsung phones, but not the L55C. Any and all info is greatly appreciated!!

    What I'd like:

    1. Return to the stock ST crappy ROM
    2. Remove CWM
    3. Unroot (I used the esteem method)

    Thanks in advance!

Have you tried a different charger and/or usb cable? I don't think we have a full unrooted stock rom here on the forum but I could be wrong.
I know quite a few people that have sent modded phones back to ST without a problem. I don't think they even check.
We do have a stock slider recovery and a themed stockish rom. Anyway if you need help finding anything I will look when I am on my pc later today, just let me know.

    Thanks BigJake,

I have a bunch of backup stuff, but I'm unsure what it all is...

when I did the modding, I used the esteem method to root, then followed the instructions very carefully for installing CWM (unsure what version) including doing backups. I have a Ti backup folder for her phone, along with a complete copy of the SD contents before doing anything. I also have a file called LGL55C_recovery and I downloaded the stock rooted rom image That JCole posted.

If that stock rom image is the original (rooted) image, would it remove CWM also?  if so, I read there is a way to remove the *things* that the esteem root did to "unroot" the phone.

I wish there was a sticky for this LOL!! She has tried different chargers and cables to no avail. It's something inside the USB port that isn't working without holding the plug at an angle. They've already said she can send it back, so I'm hoping to just clear the stupid thing.

    Thanks again

If you made a backup in cwm right after you install cwm and before you flashed ARQ2.1 you have the stock rom you are looking for.. Just restore that backup, make sure it boots and then flash the stock recovery in cwm. The best you can do to get rid of root(maybe I haven't tried myself) is uninstall the SuperUser app. That img file you have is the cwm img. Give me a minute and I will find the stock recovery for you...

Just to verify, If I flash the stock rooted image I have, and then use the recv8 image, that will give me 2 of the 3 steps yes (original LG Rom and original recovery) then all I need to do is remove the SU apps?

    Thanks again!

Yes, just make sure you check to see that your backup boots first before you flash the stock recovery.
Also if your sending it in you don't want all your personal data left on the phone. So right after you restore the backup and before you check to see if it boots do a factory wipe/reset in cwm. Then boot it up, make sure all is good then go back to cwm and flash the recv8.zip and reboot 8)
