Okay, this is the Team Hydro Rom themed by myself with a new kernel developed by DroidHost. This kernel decreases boot time, and gives a bit more snappiness all around (even the internet). You won't see a different name in the kernel section of settings, it will still appear to be the stock kernel, but this kernel is most definitely custom. You now have adb shell root enabled. The Team Hydro Rom has one flaw in that you need to install BusyBox to gain some of its features and to update the su binaries. However this rom is rooted.

Once you install busybox (I recommend Jrummy's tool available on the market), you should notice a better battery life. This rom has a lighter footprint, and you will have almost a completely ported version of the cyanogenmod theme CyanBreadX stock along with some new window animations. I hope you enjoy this rom.

Credit goes to DroidHost for the Kernel
    Jondevere for the Rom
rori for the original CyanBreadX theme

All I did was port the theme to be enabled stock and add a few tweaks to the appearance here and there.

Edit: I've also created a .zip filled with different animations you can flash to your device. The one used in this rom is the flip animations. But I've included a .zip with Acid/Rudolf, ICS, Flying, Fold, Flip, Bounce, and Stock. You can quickly and easily switch between animations by booting into recovery, wiping cache and dalvik cache, then installing/flashing the .zip of the animations you want to try out. You just need to have this rom/the hydro rom to use these animations.

Installation of Animations: Unzip the animations.zip. Extract all of the .zips inside to a directory (leaving them as a .zip just extract them from Animations.zip.) Create a folder on your sdcard for the animations. And then copy all of the .zips over to it.

Edit: The app works. Do this, open the app. Hit the menu button on the far left at the bottom of your phone. Hit preferences. Where it says status bar shortcut click that (I used add&hide icon). Hit back. Then check off Invert notification color. Works fine on my phone with the Quick Settings App by HALFBIT.

Personally, I think this is one of the best roms so far for the q. The only gripe I have is the notification center. When I'm downloading a file, or playing music, I can't see the titles, because they're black. Any way to fix this?

Hi! I'm attempting to pull the learning curve on this type of device and its programming. I'd also like to say "Thank You" to kernel developer DroidHost, ROM developer Jondevere, and CyanBreadX theme maker rori! After a bunch of reading, trial and error, I think I'm familiar enough to try the ROM you've made available, JCole20. I have an LG L55c straight out of the packaging now with Superuser, Astro (file manager), ROM Toolbox, ROM Manager and Busybox Installer applications installed. I noticed that after just the installation of ROM Toolbox from "Market" that I can't access the non-GUI recovery function (accessed by holding down the Down Volume key + Home key + Power On button) anymore or address it from ADB via a terminal window running in Ubuntu. So, I think I'm stuck. I'm interested in the Cyanogen OS for this LG device as I want full access to it in order to customize it to my needs, remove unnecessary apps and the Carrier IQ. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Yeah the only way I know to fix it is with a new theme to the notification window. I can create a flashable .zip to do so if you'd like. Just give me until tomorrow and ill have one labeled and up. Sorry the only time it affects me is when I'm downloading from the market as I play music with PowerAmp.

there are afew things you should know about this device. firstly Rom Manager/toolbox apps are no good for these phones some functions will brick your phone.  deleting the apps should not saying it will but should let you back into recovery. if not i would try to install clockworkmod found here ---> You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login also im currently working on a the AreaRom v1.1 after which i plain to start an attempt at porting CM7. the AreaRom v1.1 will come with CIQ disabled as removing it fully would call for a full rewrite of the rom itself. if you have any other questions please feel free to ask myself or jcole20 and we will answer you the best way we can. =)

lol no need to go through all of that. i was just curious :P but now i cant seem to connect to my phone via adb.. it doesnt recognize it at all. is this maybe because of the kernel?

I doubt it, I connect fine on this rom with this kernel. Just not through APK MultiTool. Try using the sdk if you're not.

I'm just wondering if the CM7 project was ever completed. I don't have a Q, I have a net and was hoping to get CM running on it.
