is this the about me part?
well, i had an lg optimus q, with a nice fancy arearom on it, and nice fancy kernel to overclcock it, and i busted up my screen in a drunken stupor. so i got what seemed like a possible step up, a kyocera rise. i had heard good things about it, and that it was reliable, and on a good network. wrong. so far, there's root, and only root for it. no custom recovery, no custom rom, nothing all that cool to do with it(so here i am, with a phone that seems inferior because i was so spoiled by my q.). well anyways, i got to thinking, the bootloader of the rise is locked, and if i remember correctly, there was another forum on here where something or other(i didn't know what it was at the time) wasn't being released by lg. somehow, you guys here at android area 51 were able to work past that, bring a custom recovery, rom and kernels. i was wondering if the same could be done for the rise. its got potential, with a pretty nice processor in it. anyways, anything back would be appreciated.

My sister currently has the Rise and is going to get a new phone because the Rise is almost unusable. Are there any devs out there that are interested in this phone?

Right now there's nothing for the rise because of a locked bootloader that's hindered development. There's a couple people I know of that's been trying to work around it, but there's been no luck this far
