No not wasted, just fighting with it, i got the phone to working again, but am still having issues gettting the recovery to take, i got it to boot to CWM Once and then as soon as i rebooted it was gone, still tring to get the recovery.bin fully broke down into accual CODE so i can remove the recover to stock section out of it, which will allow CWM to stay in the phone...

the 4g 2 doesn't use the same setup as the 4g first edition i looked into it, it uses the standard boot.img and recovery.img formats not .bin formats.. this one is a test by Samsung to LOCKDOWN The phone from Modifications and so far its working pretty well...

I have been watching this thread for sometime and no one has really said what version of Android are you trying to put on it?

I know you are still trying to circumvent the system but what is the game plan for this device?

well as far as I know it just has a different CPU. and different modem and camera. pretty much they cheapened the first one and named it the exhibit 4g2 but to be honest I would trade my exhibit 4g in a heartbeat for the exhibit 2 just for the fact the exhibit 2 can pick up at&t 4g frequency bandwidth while the first can only receive 4g on T-Mobile

OK I'm having trouble with a bricked Exhibit on Cincinnati Bell (same model as T-Mobile).  I bricked it messing with system files (don't know why I did it -- figured if I messed it up it would be easy enough to undo. Two weeks later, how wrong I was!).

Anyway, I've downloaded all the files over on xda forums and the furthest that I can seem to get is after trying flashing factoryfs with odin and it gets about halfway done and then hangs for hours and finally fails.

I've read through the forums so many times that I think I've tried everything. Is there something that I'm missing?

Still working on the CWM... i do  have a Rom almost done that will be an ODIN Install when its finished using my custom kernel, init.d support, bootanimation support, full root, and remount script support.

I JUST NEED a List of BLOATWARE that You all Dont want anymore and it will be GONE before i make the final factoryfs.rfs

By bloatware are you refering to the stock apps? Such as any carrier apps and samsung apps? I would say any carrier and samsung apps should be removed. I have already ripped out all those apps on my phone using Titanium backup and it has made a good difference in the performance on my device.

I would also like to see all media apps removed. Like Facebook, Youtube, twitter etc...The reason being the user can still grab the program from the app store but its less clutter on the initial build for someone who doesn't need it. Also it allows the user to remove the app completely if they decide they don't want it anymore.

I prefer a bare minimal install that allows the user to add what they want.

Be very careful removing bloatware, I have had problems with wireless and usb discovery ever since I removed some bloatware with a list I found on xda forums or maybe it happened when  I unlocked the phone for use abroad with unlock pro probably the latter. My Exhibit 4g also goes straight into answering service without ringing and wireless won`t turn off lol. Fecking Samsung Wankers.  ???
