When I add a new contact on my phone, shortly thereafter I get an error:
    Quote
The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
There is a "Force close" button on the error message window.

Along with this, I notice that those new contacts don't synchronize with my Google account for hours to a day, so I suspect the error is related to sync.

Possibly related is this: I have the Autostarts app installed (phone is rooted, with the Area51 ROM installed), and there are services under "Google Services Framework" (and under "Email" and "Hangouts") that are always disabled when I check, and I enable them, then when I check Autostarts again later they are disabled again. I don't know what's doing this. Help!

No luck. I don't think that uninstalling Autostarts will return changed services to their default state.

Let me know. I appreciate help.
Wipe phone/reinstall the ROM. Connect to Google Play, reboot. It will work then.

Was either: Bad flash, or stuff you did afterwards.

Probably stuff I did. I should have been more careful with Autostarts. Thanks for the advice!

Ok, before I wipe and reinstall, I've got to find some way to force my phone to sync with my account. Turns out that I've got contact info on the phone that has never been been synced and probably never will if left to its own devices. Can someone recommend a way for me to do this so I don't have to hunt through every contact in my phone and add or update it in my account manually? Thanks!

it might got to do with the syncin between your email, gmail you use to sign in for google services and such,
the lg fuel seems to have sync issues if theres a really good data/internet connection, i would try and do a factory reset and do it over

I intend to reflash it, but first I need to save the contact information that hasn't synchronized. That is my first concern at the moment.

That error is because you have somehow blocked Google from uploading the new Contact to their servers.
(Google likes to know everything on your phone, yes even every contact you add.)
Disabling all Google Sync option and/or disabling all Google Sync apps with a program like Titanium Backup, may or may not help your situation.
