Yes. With the device powered off hold the volume up and down button in the middle where you can hear a click then hold the power button at the same time. Then only release the power button when the Samsung logo appears.

Having an issue... I unzipped and placed the backup folder and .default_backup_format on the sdcard and when I boot into cwm I don't have a backup and restore option, only reboot system now... apply update from sdcard... wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition. I try selecting apply update from sdcard... go down to backup folder and I see 2005-01-01.00.00.26/ but when i select that its like its an empty folder and only gives me option to go back up one level with ../ and Im back looking at the empty 2005-01-01.00.00.26

    Im stumped.

Maybe, when you used odin to install cwm recovery, when it finished and started to reboot the phone you didn't pull the battery? If so, cwm didn't "stick".

Try downloading the stock recovery and flash it via odin then flash the cwm but this time do it as wen u hit start and does its work ....take out the battery right after it turns blue on odin

**I suggest take off the battery clip to get it ready

Sorry guys... I did admit to being a nub  :P

Anyway thanks blazer, got it back and running again. Redownloading 2005-01-01.00.00.26

Do have some a nub question though, after downloading it says to install onto your SD Card. Now once I unzip it contains a single folder called clockworkmod... should I uploading this folder onto my sdcard or the folder and file contained within the clockworkmod folder?

Whoa there don't extracted or unzip it just put it in your sdcard now go to cwm recovery later go to backup and restore later find that folder called clockworkmod click on it and still do it til u get where its gonna say 2005-01-01.00.00.26 click on it it will install and do its part
Now reset data and cache go to advance then wipe dalvik cache if u have the prolustionroot zip flash that as well then hit system reboot it might take a while so don't turn it off jus let it do its thing :)
