The major hurdle is the kernel, and since losing my hard drive (the one with alot of that on it) I haven't really looked back into it. We do know that the AreaROM AOSP code boots on other devices though :)

If I can figure out what needs changed in the stock kernel (Or start with an AOSP Exynos kernel like a Nexus S) and get 2.3.7 booted up, everything else will follow :)

I don't suppose the source to the stock kernel would be helpful?

I have it already, but the way Samsung starts it compared to AOSP is different.

I got ADB to see it on AOSP but the ramdisk was set up wrong (didn't mount the filesystem).

Far from it :D. Usually, the incompatible kernel will just kick it out and boot back to recovery.

I would hope not considering the Proclaim has a faster processor than the Centura. I recently broke my Centura, and bought a refurbished Proclaim via Walmart. (I couldn't pass up the Proclaim + $45 unlimited card for $55.)

So far, both the Proclaim and Centura have been shown to overclock to 1.2GHz, with developers spectating that the Proclaim can safely do 1.4GHz and the Centura being able to be pushed as much as 2.0GHz!!!!
