I use the MagicJack app to make phone calls over wifi for free. Just having this app installed is kinda annoying cause regardless on whether or not I've used it recently it likes to sit in the Ongoing Notifications.  I also keep this phone on the charger since my battery tends to run out after about 5-20 minutes, depending on what I'm doing on it.  So I've ALWAYS got these 2 things just sitting in my ongoing notification drawer.  And the icons add to my toolbar so I they end up collapsing into a number after I open up anything else, instead of showing the individual icons...

Is there a way to hide/remove these?

    Cause that would be greeeaaat....

Update:   I found this page You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and attempted to decompile and edit my SystemUI.apk file.  The link is for a Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000, so I was hopeful I could make it work.  I recompiled and pushed to my phone system folder...  It crashed instantly lol  I'm not much of a developer.

Any help if I supply the decompiled files??
    =\

Disregard the compiled apk file in dist, its the one that I compiled, and WILL crash your phone if pushed into /system/app/ :-)

Two different phones will take a lot more than that to get it to work

Yeah I figured as much...  but there was a file that looked similar to the one that they said to edit, and lines of code in that file where close as well, so I tried editing them.  It was only like 4 different lines that needed minor changing, so I thought it COULD be possible...  didnt hurt to try, im just glad I remembered to keep a backup of the original apk or I would have been flashing my rom again.

Is there some windows software that I could edit it with and debug it with until it works maybe? so I wont have to worry about crashing my ui again, and possibly having to flash the rom again and TI restore and whatnot...

I checked out the theme-ing section.   I found the You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and found the section of the site having to do with the toolbar, but changing the Ongoing Notifications was not an option.  :-\

    The search continues...

Everyone feel free to chime in at any point if you have any useful information for me lol

Have you check the magic jacks options/settings???, some apps have  the option to disabled it or vice versa.

Yeah man, I'm running GB...  so there are no options within the os that will allow me to disable it like in newer versions, and thats a big negative on MagicJack allowing you to disable the notification, which is effin lame.  I eventually found a sort of hack around it.  When I'm not using it for making a phone call, I just go into Titanium Backup and freeze the app...  so it's not "installed" at that point and disabled, so no notifications lol  Don't know why I didn't think about that in the first place...  :-)
