I replaced my straight talk LG L55c with an unlocked att s4 active. I rooted it to remove the ugly att splash screen and bloatware (using titanium). I just had att software update try to do what I assume is the jellybean update (it took about 30 mins via wifi) the update failed! Has anyone else had this issue? Is it due the root I did (active root)? Or could it be that I am using it in straight talk? Thanks in advance. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
So I should just manually install? Or can I unroot it and allow it to update? Is the 4.3 update worth it, or should I wait for kit-kat?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
I usedvactive root to root it. Stock rom still. Only did the rooting for non essential things. But is it worth the time or should I just go to kit kat when samsung releases it?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
I'll try that. ThanksSent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
Update: I am still having no luck. I tried forcing the update by downloading it manually > move to /data/fota and unrooting. Did nit get the continue ungreyed. Tried moving to sdcard and renaming to .zip alk yhat did was to cause my phone to partialy reset (still had apps installed but had to re-setup my google account etc) still have 4.2.2 and att software update consistently says update available. If I put my phone on wifi, the updater will block me from using it for 30 mins while "downloading" then it exits and 30 mins later will restart. I'm out of ideas lol. Ive never used odin, if someone can point me to a guide I would very much appreciate it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
