Rooted my Tracfone Centura a few weeks ago, and it's just not working out. It is constantly hanging (not hanging up) where I have to power off/on to get it back. The internet, either wifi or 3g is very inconsistent. Sometimes it takes so long to connect...don't have the signal bars at the top...the I have to power off/on again.

I also keep getting these messages that "shell requesting superuser access", or something like that.

I worked with Kingmt01 a week or so ago, and we did some work in ES File Explorer, but doesn't seem to have helped.

I would like to restore to stock, and would like to know the latest procedures/files required to do it.

    Thanks

The shell requesting superuser is from the superuser app. Swap it out for supersu and you won't have that problem anymore :-)

Did you make a backup? You would much much happier to get it worked out, even if ya have to start from scratch. Not trying to hijack your thread but  Daish4u did you post a MJ1 with initd? I swore I seen one. Got a few days off and me and my kiddo was going to play Dev. ;-) and that seems like a good starting point.

I just did uninstall the supersu and let it do what it asked...unstalling other superuser apps, or whatever it found. Will put it through some testing the next couple of days.

ETA:  The main reason I rooted was to be able to run clocksync to take care of the time situation with this model phone. If the supersu clears up the problem, I will just keep it rooted. On another note, is there any way to get rid of the scary guy with the scythe at startup...not a big problem, but I will hand this phone off to my wife and she might not want it .

    Thanks.

Yeah the kernel with init.d support should be in either the rom release section or the everything root section, can't remember off the top of my head haha...

EDIT: it's in the rom release section in the centura forum :-)
