i finally found a successful way to root it, i heard android forums are working on custom roms and kernels for it but I'm not sure. I just benchmarked it with a score of over 13500, im still trying to figure out how to put the twrp on it but im sure its compatible. And the battery life is great. Ive been using it for 2 days off the same charge.  Its to bad area 51 doesn't support it though.

Get twrp installed make a nandroid backup from it then do a factory reset make another nandroid send us the nandroid you make after the factory reset and then restore the first one, And Area51 will support it, just need a base to start the Rom on... till can get my AOSP builds working fully... .

You'll probably have to get it directly from TeamWin's website You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and use either the Odin method or the dd method to get it installed

From the App store - ROM Manager App (Requires Root) you can install ClockWork Mod or TRWP. I use it on my S4.

do not use rom maneger to get a custom romor recovery for your stellar or legend  it can brick your phone they say to use goo manager for it but I think its down or  something  because it will say starting download but then it doesnt do anything so. idk. so after some research im almost possitive I can get a custom recovery even with a locked bootloader.. thats good because alot of people are saying  how touchy the bootloader is and how when ever they come close to it they get that yellow triangle... so im gonna keep looking tell I find a way to put that twrp recovery on. If u try to use goo manager it will flash tje twrp but when u go into recovery.  Itll say unauthorized softare with the yellow triangle due to the locked bootloader. There is something i found. Called loki that's. Soposed to easily bypass the bootloader but im still looking into that.

Not a bad deal at all. I just was looking at this online and for 35..  I may get one. Lol.. this android thing is addictive!
I been eyeing an ol precedent just to put Area ROM on it :)

From what I have been reading there is a working twrp, kernel.. ect for the Stellar. These should work for the Legend?

Yea from what i understand. Only walmart has a 50 dollar prepaid card which inckudes unlimited talk, text, and one gig of data which works great is grea. For me because i have wifi at home and work so at the end of the month on aaverage ill use about 700 to 800 megs. They also have 60 $ cards that. Offer more data. So. The 5 dollars isnt that big of a deal to me however i kinda wish they did jave this phone for sraight talk so we wouldn't have to deal with that stupid locked boot loader.

I'm not sure i havnt used Kies for this phone yet.  But i am sure varizon has repair, and stock firmware for the galaxy legend you just have to find it.  some one i know  tried putting a steller root and etc. Package on his legend when he did the wifi stoped working and it kept saying no sim.  So he had to find the stock firmware to fix his phone.  It took him a bit to find it but acouple days later he messaged back saying that he did successfully fix his phone so I'm sure there is a way.   ;)
