so i have this Galaxy Stratosphere right,  nice phone, spent a little time on it, managed to actually root it via framaroot (no pc at all) , the very first application that requires root permission i run, crash landed my new phone right into a brick. so i can boot into recovery, factory reset etc. and odin mode is accessible. what do i do now? i can't seem to find even the stock image anywhere and that Heimidall program won't work at all on my laptop. i need help, this is the coolest phone I've ever operated.

Let me know. I appreciate help.
    Sigh...

    Yes, we know that 'tune'.

Sorry, but we don't do anything with the Stratosphere.

Try Google, or get a hold of the app makers/brick makers, see what they say.

Another one bricked because of "universal root"

You said the first root app you ran crashed your phone, so what was the first root app you ran?
I doubt framaroot crashed your phone.

Please excuse the "d-sploit" impression. It's totally not my style, just on a curious streak as to how penetrable my devices really are. Lol

OK, you are going to need to find or make a custom recovery, flash the recovery then contact the author of dsploit and find out what system files the app drops or uses, these files have to be deleted.
Factory reset doesn't remove system files, a root app can make changes that factory reset can't fix.

A custom recovery is looking like the winning ticket, the only thing is how do i get it onto the phone? I got that "heimdall " program to work, is it possible to flash a custom recovery with it? I've tried flashing the E12 stock image, the rooted image, still, same thing. Won't make it passed the boot loop error but the kernel upload went through...  ???   So it's likely dsploit has some stubborn files hanging me up.. interesting.
